Play vs AI

Post by String »

Is the AI optimized to take one side or is there little difference if I play either the allies or japanese?

If I do play the japs, will the allies be agressive enough to try and recapture Luzon?

They should be. The Japanese AI does very well in all of its objectives, and the Allied AI (like it should) wants to make sure its bases are intact. Running AI vs AI we found the AI got in a heated battle of Midway, with one side taking it and the other trying to take it back, and vice versa. Obviously we didn't get to run a long AI vs AI game, but all of the tests we did run show that the Allied AI should do its job (its even told to try to invade Japan if opportunity presents itself).

Then again, it could bypass the PI alltogether and cut it off.

Most of our effort went in to the Japanese AI, but the Allied AI is still very strong and capable.

Good to hear that. The game is still so unexplored that it should be fun, especially in PBEM ofcourse, as no player has hindsight [:D]
