Targets to Add to BTR ?

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

1. AF Zeltweg should be north of Klagenfurt ( ~ 80 miles)

2. the real name of "Ostmark Marburg Flugmotoren Werk" was "VDM Steiermark, Marburg"

3. Bruck an der Mur should be added north of Graz ( Böhler ARM,STEEL)

4. I have not found any significant Judenburg Wasserkraftwerk. In 1938 there were:
Arnstein (28000KW)
Pernegg (17000KW)
Mixnitz (16000KW)
Peggau (7500KW)
these are hydroelectric powerplants
Arnstein can possible be Judenburg Wasserkraft
Pernegg, Mixnitz, Peggau were called Murgruppe, they were located between Bruck and Graz.
there also were some steam plants:
Fohnsdorf (13000KW) near Zeltweg
Donauwitz (10500KW) 20km west of Bruck
during the war some were build:
DKW Voitsberg (40000KW) (steam plant)
Dionysen (11000KW) part of Murgruppe

there also was a big hydroelectric powerplant in South Styria ( Slovenia ) near Marburg ( Maribor ) called Draukraftwerk Faal/Fala (35000KW)

5. addition of Marburg/Maribor as town

6. addition of ELIN ( 15 miles east of Graz) which produced more than half of the electro motors necessary for the U-BOOT sneak drive ( silent mode ) in 1944.

7. addition of the ARM factory SchoellerBleckmann in Muerzzuschlag ( 30 miles north of Bruck) or in Ternitz (40 miles south Wiener Neustadt) ( inter alia there were build 2322 Sd.KfZ.251 mainly Sd.Kfz.251/9,it 7,5cm STUK.37)

8. addition of STEEL Donauwitz ( ALPINE), and a second plant at BOEHLER St.Marein started up on 3.July 1944.

Good stuff my friend.

One other I remember posting was references to there being some limited UFAC production at Genoa. I would assume only a small (maybe a size 1 or 2) site. Need to remember where I read that.

P.S. Werner I also mentioned Antwerp as a port [;)][:'(]

Hi Steven,
yes you posted something about UFAC at Genoa.

but there was also one of my posts [:'(] :

JC,
I found some more sites to add.
Not all Uboats were built, but the numbers were given to the sites:

UFAC Schichau in Elbling [U5231-U5750; U6251-U6351 ]
UFAC Klöckner in Ulm [U5751-U6200 ]
UFAC Simmering-Graz-Pauker in Vienna ( is this the same as the AFA-Wien site ???) [U2251-U2300 ]

and also some parts of Deutsche Werft:
Genoa [U2401-U2430 ]
Montfalcone [U2431-U2445 ]
Nicolajev [U2446 ]
Linzer Schiffswerft ( in Linz) [U2447-U2500 ]

JC,
my sources say nothing about Akkumulatoren, and the AFA sites !?
But Akkumulatoren built accumulator batteries (=storage batteries), and for that it can be a UFAC ( but if they are included, also ELIN should be in BTR :) )
