Targets to Add to BoB

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Well I can't remember Southend/Ashingdon Airfield or Great Wakering airfield being in the original - not sure how much they were used during BOB but both were operational during WW2 (both on SE Essex coast.)

I was going to suggest Sector stations, but i suppose that would make it too easy a target for the Luftwaffe.

Hi Watchtower,

Southend airport is in as Rochford. Was Great Wakering built by 8th AF ? Don't have all my books here.

Have a list of Bomber Command airfields from June 1940. Bear in mind the ones in the original game are all but one, fiction. [:(]

2 Group: Wattisham, Wyton, Watton, West Raynham
3 Group: Newmarket, Honington, Feltwell, Marham, Midlenhall, Methwold
4 Group: Driffield, Linton on Ouse, Dishforth
5 Group: Waddington, Scampton, Hemswell, Finningley
6 Group; Abingdon, Harwell, Benson, Upper Heyford, Bicester, Cottesmore, Upwood.
Bassingbourne, Weston on the Green, Lossiemouth, Elgin, Kinloss.

Yep Southend/Ashingdon/Rochford - same Airfield. Great Wakering was 4 miles further out towards the east coast. Not sure who operated it but my Dad said is was used during the war. I remember playing there in the early 70's when I was a kid.
