J2M on carriers?

Carrier capable daitais with PDU can change their planes into .. say J2M Jacks and operate from cariers? Well, IMHO, doesn't seem historical these high-speed, high-altitude planes can start from a deck.

Do it in PBEM and you will see F4U's on Carriers 1 day later and trust me the IJN will come off worst in that exchange

Are you sure? Not carrier capable fighters cannot operate from carriers, only fly off to land bases. I guess you can upgrade A6M to J2m as they both navy fighters, but they supposed to loose the ability to operate from carriers (something related to database slots if i remember it right).

Correct. Carrier capable aircraft are restricted to the first slots, and I'm pretty sure the J2M isn't one.

That's one of my oldest games.
Its about June '43. I play against AI in scenario 26 (Full His Non Mod by Rich Dionne & Gary Grigsby or sth like this...).
I don't know whether it is possible in CHS... is it?

[:D]... Andy is right. I guess that placing Jacks on CVs is a wet dream for every Allied player [:D]...

I would do the same if I'm Allied player...

I'm pretty sure that you can pick J2m and J7W as an upgrade option, as they both navy fighters. Did you really put J2M on carrier and flew ground strike (for example)?.

Yes, I tested it flying from some CVEs (carrier independent Zeroes cannot be updated in this way).
J2Ms performed pretty well in escort missions (against airfield defended by I16's and LaGG's: Russian active) and on CAP. [:D]
In this scenario J2M is placed in 10th slot.
Game is updated with 1.6 patch (but during game in process).
