game crashed

Hello!
Now, i´ve already installed the new 1.071 patch, but i´ve the same problem.For example:if i play with the germans, no problems with the gameplay but when the computer starts playing after ~30.sec. the game crashed with no failure report and i see the desktop[&:]!
Please help!

Comp facts:
AMD Athlon 3000+
ATI radeon 9600 pro (probably with an old driver)
1GB RAM
Sound onboard (Realtek AC97)

I suggest that you make a log with dxdiag and post it. Maybe someone can figure out what the problem is based on that. One question though - did the game also crash before you installed the latest version?

Here is roughly how you make that log
- click the START button in Windows
- Click on RUN
- type in dxdiag
Now dxdiag will examine your system collecting more information than anyone would ever want to read
- in DxDiag save the information to a file (it will probably say something like "Save all information". My Windows isnt English so I cannot give you the exact wording here).
- Make a reply to this thread where you attach the file you just saved with DXDIAG.

Hopefully someone with technical knowledge can then spot the problem. I know I will try too but I am not much of an expert in that field.
