Dumb Question on Production

Post by Mike Carroll »

Could probably find it in the manual but I am too busy playing.

Do the resources, oil and heavy industry function and produce supply and fuel? Or do you just get the daily supply and fuel as indicated in some bases.

Thanks

You get daily supply and fuel in certain bases. There will always be enough to survive, but you may have to stockpile some before launching an offensive. The oil, HI, and resources were left in for the AI to create dozens of convoys, because it still expects to move those things around.

There is no production in this game. (Those of us WitP Japanese vets are going through withdrawals here.[:'(]) If you look at the last screen of the intel screen, you'll see only supply and fuel. I'm not sure where it comes from though. I suspect you get a set amount per turn but I haven't gotten that far in the learning curve yet.

I thought there wasn't any oil or resource production. Am I wrong (or just confused, which is normal)?

How can you tell how much fuel and supply you get at a base?

I don't think you can tell in game, but it is defined in the manual. Basically, it is mainland Japan, with other land masses producing a small quantity.

Production is off, but the AI likes to send convoys to collect resources, so I left them in to keep the AI functioning (and to have interesting commerce warfare).

If you look at a base you will see something like

Supply: 4000/400 - base gets 400 supply per day
Fuel: 2000/150 - base gets 150 supply per day

The number after the slash is how much of each you get at the base. Bases like Mare Island get 25k supply and fuel per day. Manila gets 150 supply and fuel.

Is there a way to quickly see which base produce supplies/oil (and how many of them) without clicking on every base of yours?
