Tutorial Guide

Post by Helpless »

From WPO manual:

"The Tutorial Guide (located on your CD-ROM disc) is a short but informative way of getting down the basics of War
Plan Orange - Dreadnoughts in the Pacifi c 1922 - 1930™"

where is that? [&:]

RE: Tutorial Guide

Instead of including a static tutorial guide, we decided to do a forum-based tutorial that we can add to and adjust over time. Unfortunately, we forgot to edit that line in the manual it seems.

You can find it pinned to the top of the main WPO forum as "Quickstart Tutorial".

OK.. that's what I thought. Thanks Erik.

BTW, there is a few funny things in WPO's manual from it's WITP-sister, eg. reffernces to B-29 or "Tokyo Express" [:D].

Oops, thought I got 'em all. The Tokyo express references are referring to things that still can be done, that could have been done, and it is the best example.

I have no good historical background, but it seems that the reason of "Tokyo express"-like tactics to appear is Japanese naval responce to Allies air superority during the daylight. Was there any examples of such naval tactics in WWI, when no naval air existed?

Of cause it is widely used in WPO. Once you set TF on Bombard/SC missinos to "retiremet allow" it will get to destination during the night and will sail back after accompishing the mission. That might be the reason that most of the naval battles are keep going at night.
