Victory disease: Bombur (Japan) vs. Nikademus (Allies), Nik mod scenario 1942A
Tokyo, 05/01/42
Dear Mr. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt:
We would like sincerely to ask to you to stop this unending bloodshed. Unfortunately, given America´s agression against the Japanese nation, we were forced to enter a war against you, a war that we didn´t ask for. As you can see, our powerful forces were able to defeat the Western Armies in virtually ever confontation. All of this could have been arranged withouth an war. Japan only wants to have its sphere of influence in Asia, just like the western powers. Now we actually have a much larger sphere than we originally intended. To retake our territories will result in too many lives lost for the USA and his European allies, and eventually Japan will emerge victorious, so I have a proposal to you.
1-Immediate cessation of all hostilities
2-Immediate release of all War prisioners
3-Japan retreats from New Guinea, which is of no value to us
4-Japan retreats from Burma
5-Philippines, Dutch East Indies and the Malaya peninsulae remains in Japanese hands
6-And armistice is signed with China, keeping the border lines as defined for current territory occupation
7-USA receives back Wake and Guam, and your fleet will be spared from destruction
Emperor Hirohito[:D]
----------------------------------------------------
Settings:
1-Two day turns
2-Submarine doctrine off to both sides
3-Selected aircraft upgrades on
4-Auto upgrade off
5-Damage control on
-And some other things I don´t remember
-Waiting to see if Nik accepts my terms or instead he chooses to be crushed....

-Bullshit, I´m again full of Nates and A5M4´s. I got rid of them in 2 months in my former game vs Nik and now.....Japanese troops seem to be a bit overextended. It seems it will hard to disembark in San Francisco.....
-First turn. Few action. Some combat over Burma, 2 Hurrricanes and 2 Nates shor down. Op losses increase the grand total to 10 for Japan and 3 for Allies. Japanese troops disembark in Tulagi....
-Turn sent to Nik, who is waiting anxiously to be defeated....

Yep. May- June 42 saw all Nate equipped fighter sentais in Burma rotating back to Japan for re-equipment to the new Ki-43, leaving only the 64th on station.
RE: Victory disease: Bombur (Japan) vs. Nikademus (Allies), Nik mod scenario 1942A
Great victory for Japan!!!!!!
-Japanese troops captured Tulagi and disembarked in Guadalcanal and Buna. A few minor vessels were lost in the operation as USN CV´s attaked the transport flees in the Salomons. Meanwhile, Zeros from Lae decimated the so called "modern fighters" from USAAF

-Few combat this turn. USN CV´s are lurking near Guadalcanal. It seems they fear to enter into range of Betties and Nells. Gilli-gilli was captured. Almost no air to air action. A few Ki-27´s were shot down by Hurricanes. The IJAAF HQ is worried with the relatively poor performance of the Nate against these 2nd rate fighters and has planned to upgrade all Nates to Oscars in the next three months.

Colonial air force takes a beating
-A small victory for the IJN aviation today. Hudsons escorted by Hurricanes appeared over Mandalay for their usuals activities of Nate hunting. To their surprise, the base was being now defended by a full A6M2 Daitai. No less than 19 Hurricanes (versus 4 Nates and three Zeros were destroyed in two days)

RE: Victory disease: Bombur (Japan) vs. Nikademus (Allies), Nik mod scenario 1942A
SEAC admitted today that Hurricane squadrons operating out of Eastern India were hard hit conducting a 2-day operation over enemy airfields located in Centra Burma. A total of 19 planes were lost either over the target or while returning from Burma due to damage sustained while defending a Hudson squadron carrying out the attack. In return they shot down a confirmed 3 "zero" type aircraft and 4 Army 97's The Hurricanes prevented any losses from being sustained by the bombers and all returned safely having left the target airfields badly damaged.
In more bright news....Allied forces in the Coral sea suprised and obliterated a Japanese invasion convoy that had recently deposited troops onto the island of Guadalcanal further exaserbating a chronic shortage of destroyers available to the Japanese navy, already overstretched by it's recent expansion.
Japanese carrier forces ran away rather than face the might of USN carrier aviation. [:'(]

Japanese carrier forces ran away rather than face the might of USN carrier aviation.
-This is all allied propaganda. Japanese carriers were actually in Truk receiving replacement aircraft and crews. The sacrifice of my patrol vessels was just a small setback in the struggle for the final victory.
-News for today
-Some four engine bombers, identified as a version of the B-24, appeared over Rangoon today. IJAAF pilots were not particulalrly impressed by the durability of these huge aircraft, as two of them fell to the light machineguns from Oscars and Nates. One of these planes crashed a few miles away from Rangoon. The crew was captured and sent to a vacation resort in Bali. The attack resulted in negligible damage to Rangoon instalations, althought a Nate was lost in the ground.

Another victory
-Great news for Japan, as an enemy convoy was located unloading supplies at Port Moresby. Japanese LBA attacked and, despite scarcity of escorts, losses were minimal. The enemy lost a precious MSW and had a DD crippled. Near Japan, our ASW patrols located an enemy submarine. One PG was heavily damage, but the submarine also got a few DC´s in the action and won´t be able to flee from our powerful ships.

Allied fanboys
-More victories for the Japanese empire. Coward Nik, scared by the losses suffered by his convoy at PM, decided to retreat before the unload was completed. Another long range attack by unescorted Betties and Nells resulted in one AK sunk and another two ships heavily damaged. Meanwhile, our Zeros decimated the enemy fighters. Score for this turn is 16:2. However, Japan suffered fairly high losses due to flak plus non comabt causes, and the final score was 16:12. Base commanders in Rabaul and Truk are worried about the poor quality of new pilots and requested an expanded training program to fix the situation. Yamamoto sent them a long letter explaining that "Unfortunately, this is a hard coded feature of this game as it was designed by allies fanboys and so an improved training program is beyond our capabilities". Meanwhile, the coward allies shifted to night bombing and succeded in destroying a Nate in Rangoon (which, anyway, was marked to upgrade)

This is just allied propaganda. My pilots told me they fought Spitifires over Dacca[:D]
Few action this turn. Rangoon again wittnessed ineffective night bombing by LB-30´s. The poor 5th SNLF is taking some bombs too....Intel informed the sinking of a second AK as result of damage inflicted by Nells.

RE: Allied fanboys
Just testing the defences.....soon you will feel the power of the Nik-side.
The AVG over Haiphong
-In a small setback for Japan, Chinese bombers, escorted by large numbers of USA mercenaries, raided Haiphong for two days in a row. Despite outnumbered 20:1, the Oscars were able to shot down a P-40. Five Oscars were lost. Intel intercepted radio communications suggesting that two more P-40´s were so damaged that they didn´t survive the trip to their bases. Unfortunately, Japan is still suffering heavy op. losses (up to now, 44 vs. 19) and the overall score of air losses is almost even (103 vs 91 favoring Japan). An enemy sub was caught by our ships near Truk and is reported to have been damaged by several near misses of our DC´s.
