The front bit of the superstructure looks a bit like a Flower class corvette, but the hull is wrong. Looks like a militarised yacth of some sort...

Don't think it's Sans Peur, I think it might be AGP Hilo.

Maybe a USCC rather than a USN ship?

Never argue with an idiot, he will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

That was a heck of a conversion! I would have thought it would been almost faster to build a purpose-built ship from the keel up.
I had thought that the first photo showed a clipper style hull suitable for sails but dismissed it as being my imagination. Still don't know who she is or what nationality. The bridge structure does strike me as having a British influence though.

RE: Seen this one before?
i think i ran across this one a year or so ago researching one of Brady's (sadly missing) unknowns. If it is, i have the pic and id, but not where i am right now (will have to wait til monday).
EDIT: the name "Black Swan" or something close comes to mind, but i'm not sure if that is it or not.
REEDIT: No, it isn't the "Black Swan" - that's an entirely different bird. Black something-or-other. Arghh. Now this is bugging me.

Looks like the Stars and Stripes flying aft, and is that the president's flag flying forward, or is that just the Union Jack?

So, Dutchgy2000 was right!
The Mayflower was a presidential yacht for a while, so it could the the President's flag.
EDIT: Argh - need to type faster!

Hi, Y'all... It is, of course, the Mayflower. I couldn't believe the degree of conversion either, but... it's there. From a steam sailer to a patrol craft in one setting. Egad!!!
