Ship art

Post by Fallschirmjager »

This is not a knock against Tanker or anyone else who might have worked on the art. But since ships are the main weapon systems we are staring at then they ought to be improved.
I think we ran into the problem with WitP that the box the art goes into is extremly small and cannot be expanded.
I suposse the only other thing we could do is to expand the size of the art.
As it is now ships are almost to scale. I would not mind these being 'blown up' to fill almost the entire screen.
They would allow more freedom and also alot more detail could be added.
Maybe some interpid artists would take on this project piece by piece and improve the artwork in the game [:)]

Some of the ships in the game are so long that they can barely fit into the shipside boxes as is...
We are all dreams of the Giant Space Butterfly.
