Disappearing Corps/Armies

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Disappearing Corps/Armies

Post by gdpsnake »

I have built Corps and Army units but as soon as I move them on the board, they disappear the next turn leaving the leaders alone again.

Must you actually have units other than leaders in the Corps/Army (flags) in order to move them? If so, then I say this is wrong. I should be able to move the 'flag' to a location and then load it with troops.

Are you moving the empty container units into/through provinces with enemy units in them? If so, that will eliminate them.

As a rule of thumb, I always attach a unit straight away. I am not sure, but it might be that 1.2.16 allows armies/corps to move around with no units attached.

Hmm, I have 1.2.14 and I did not enter any enemy provinces or areas with troops but you never know with 25 Spanish militia units running around France......They got so bold as to actually siege and form line and do all those things that they aren't supposed to?!
