Doesn't seem to be working for me, either....completely.

But honestly, I'm offered fewer trades than I would have been with the older version. Mebbe the other countries ask in desperation no matter what you select?

Let me remind 'em of offerin' you more (2 keep u busy). [:'(]

Seriously, were u ever aware of provinces producing much less of spice, luxuries, and textiles-related stuff so we're now left w/ much less to trade? Couldbe the province-production figures are net of waste. And the waste figure in national economic info. panel always shows up as zero. [X(]

Yes, it's an effect of the new waste rules. The design change is that waste is now built-in to province production. The old waste rules were confusing a lot of people -- "I made 100 textiles but I lost 50!!!". Under the new waste rules you simple build 50 and don't lose any -- less confusing this way.

It is a problem with trade. I'm considering allowing a province to trade up to double or perhaps triple its production levels in any commodity, as long as the nation has enough net production to trade resources at that level; this would make individual trade routes much more useful.

Thanks for clarifyin'. Hope there'll be a couple of figures to let's know how much our national waste percentage is and how many provinces suffer from sub-optimal production. Btw, is it better to leave off the (ever-constant) waste figure in the economic panel?
