Looking for a Soviet opponent - camp 1941

Post by asa »

I'm looking for someone to play the Soviets in campaign 1941 wir version 3.3, possibly with some agreed house rules. Anyone interested please reply to this thread or send me a private message.

Well, you can always continue the game we started early September but never finished. Since the end of September I haven't heard anything from you, despite the fact that I've sent several mails and PMs.

Just my personal opinion, I guess you were quite disappointed by the fact that by July 20th 80% of the German panzer forces were out of supply. Long live the Soviet Mech Corps! [8D]

Not finishing a game because someone is in a precarious situation is not nice! [:-]

That's exactly my point. I was quite surprised since suddenly there was no reply. And I wasn't even cheating. [;)]
I would never had put my previous message on the board if I had not I spent quite some time to give constructive feedback to this player. Personally, I like to play games that contain not only the usual Nazi-Commie propaganda rethoric (and I can assure you I'm quite good at this), but also a honest feedback of both players on the opponent's moves. Until now I've not been disappointed in this and I learned a lot from other, more experienced players.

P.S. By the way, considering the frequency you post here, I assume the two of us have to fight it out sooner or later. I might send you an irreststable invitation in January [:)]

Note that asa just has requested to continue our game. So no hard feelings on my side, except of course if he manages to take Leningrad or Moscow in 1941 [;)]

In my first experience with PBEM game (with No-Mercy-Morphy ), my situation was quite the same. I took Kiev with some luck but was stopped dead cold in front of the Dnepr. [:(]

I learned a lot out of that humiliating situation
I hope that ASA will enjoy it as much as I did.

Good luck ASA [;)]

I agree with you, pyguinard. It is really frustrating when you meet a stronger, or just more expert, player in your games. Thanks for the comfort! :)
