I've read the posts on a potential last fix to UV. Could someone please fix #79 squadron (Spitfires). Even if historically (which I don't doubt they did) they were equipped with Spitfires, surely there were some replacement aircraft.

In my last play of the game, I sent them to Chartes Towers for rest and still lost planes. Put them back in combat and now I have a unit with 18 well trained pilots but no planes. Can't withdraw them. Can't disband them. Can't re-equip them.

I understand the aircraft replacement rates are not player changable, but come on, did we really have a fighter squadron that couldn't change planes, or when it run out, kept pilots that could have been transferred to other outfits (although they would need training in new aircraft.)

How hard is it to go in and give either an upgrade path, or sit a replacement rate in the main code?

I could not agree more !

I have noticed some squadrons in Sc. 11 without a replacement rate also - can't recall which. This of course might be correct. However we should be able to send any spare pilots to another equipped squadron or re- equip them with something else ( planes I presume [:D]).

Along with previous Bug reports this should merit a patch by now ![:-]

Can anyone @ Matrix ( or elsewhere ) advise re anything we have missed re main query and re possiblity of a patch sometime in the future.

IIRC some of the units (spits, P-47,...) arrive as squads WAY before replacements start. so just wait bout 1-2 months and then your pilots have some planes again.

I never saw any Spitfire replacements. (This scenario goes until Nov '43). There aren't any listed on the a/c replacement menu as well.

hmm maybe my mistake then. i havent played US till nov 43 for a long time.
