Injury Oddity

Top of the third, the opposing pitcher sacrificed a base runner to second and suffered a serious hip injury yet came out and pitched 3 more innings before being lifted for a pinch hitter in the sixth. After the game I checked his card and found that he had a serious hit injury and would not be able to pitch for 4 and a half weeks and was was put on the 15 day DL.
