Another error 3021

I just upgraded to 1.2 version of 2005 gold and I had the same problem as was mentioned in the other thread regarding Runtime error 3021. It says the following, "Runtime error 3021, No current record," and then it crashes.
It happened at the finalize roster screen. But here's the part I don't get, and I just figured it out. I thought I had the expansion possible option turned off, but suddenly the game said my league was expanding and then when I click on the finalize protected rosters link it gives me the error and crashes.
If I did actually have expansion possible option on, then it's also confusing because it never gave me the option to expand after each season. I'm not absolutely sure whether I had it turned off or not, but either way there is a problem with it.
