Bir Hacheim Libya

2000 Hours
We are to advance against the british trying to push them out of Libya In an effort to capture Tobruk. A has been given the task to capture a small hill that is 800 yards from there front. This hill runs 1000 yards sw to ne . About 200 yards from the ne corner of this hill lies there objective on the western slope. Antother hill connects to this one running on ne for another 600 yards. The center objective lies 300 yards to the west of this hill in a small valley. A rr track runs across this hill running east to west. This track runs dead center thru the middle of the center objective. after it passes thru the flags it makes a rigtht turn and then runs dead north and then off the map. it passes over another hill before exiting. behind this hill maybe 200 yards lies the north objective.
B has at least 1000 yards to reach there objective while C on there northern flank has maybe 800 yard to reach theres. The rear objective lies at least 1900 yards to the rear of the center along this same rr track. So after taking all the front ones we still have a long trek to get to the rear ones.
We are to jump off in 5 minutes so I have ordered a barrage to fall on this track near where it enters no mans land. This is in the hope it slows the British some what to allow us time to reach the north objective and begin to set up some kind of defense. We will try to reach the summit of the first hill and fire down on the British as they approach the flags. I am sure A in the south can reach there hill and set up defneses on the western side before the British can reach there. They too may even be able to take the summit and fire down on the British as they arrive at the south flags. It is wide open ground to the hills and we dont want to be caught out there today it is clear and you can see for miles. 1700 yards visability today so I have given my tankers orders they can open up at that range. They will be able to test the new 50mm guns on the new tanks today I am sure. have set my sic 150s on some hills in clear view of all three summits so they can offer some cover for our troops as they make the mad dash across all that open space.
This should prove interesting because if we can get to the summits of those three hills we can pick them off before they can get to our troops. have given the orders to begin the push. Told them to load up andshoot at anthing that moves even tho it may only be a camel. Nothing survives on the othe side of those three hills today not even a tree.

Took 40 minutes to get to the western slopes of the three hills guarding the objectives. But we made it without too many lives being lost or equipment either. B in the center has moved past the first hill in the north. C has reached the western slope of the north hill and has begun to climb up its slope. B has moved far enough it can see up the valley betwwen there hill and C. They have been pouring fire up this valley at any enemy tanks that try to take the objective. It sits in a small valley east of the north hill maybe 150 yards. This is maybe 500 yards north of Bs line of march to there hill in the center. They have taken out at least 5 tanks and 3 roll royces as they move across this valley in plain view of our gunners.
Our advance has cost us some what. We have lost 2 sic 33 plus a pzk 38T Tank to long range fire from the British. Maybe 30 men have gone down to the MG on these tanks as we got near to the hills. the British have already made the crest of the center hill. A large tank force has taken the crest. Have been pouring a constant rain of 150 shells down on them saw one go up in flames five minutes ago.
A in the south has moved some men around the southern tip of there hill. They can see the objective it has not been taken yet but a small force of maybe 7 tanks is moving towards it. The center Objective has been captured by the enemy and we will have to mount some kind of counter offensive against it later. We must take all three hills so that we have the height advantage against the british. Will give the order to start the onslaught up the western slopes with in the next few minutes as soon as all stragglers are in position. Will prepare the top of all 3 hills with a ten minute bombardment before we jump off tho.
Our gunners at long range have been hitting there marks with uncanny accuracy today. The Brits have lost some where in the 30 or 40 numbers of tanks. The new 50mm has been working out well at long range so far. The Brits have once again got an unlimited suppy of ammo as they continue to hit our side with 4.5 18mm and 25mm shells. My greatest fear today is we will run out of ammo way too early. Have not saw too much in the way of infantry once again. Thr northern flank has spied some squads maybe 2 companies awhile back dropped some 150 on them and they seem to have changed there mind about trying to capture the nothern VH.
So far it goes well for us once again. When will the British learn they can not defeat us. We will push them out of Libya and Egpyt very soon as this terrible war will be over and we can all go home. Within a few short months we wil have been fighting for 2 long years. I never thought in my wildest dreams in Poland in 1939 it would last this long.

We have taken center and the south VH. Only took us one hour to make the advance this far. The north is still in enemy hands but we are within 100 yards of achieving our goal. The center has run into 4 Matildas just east of the vh and have been unable to take them out. We have hit them with everything we have at our disposil and still unable to knock them out or budge them from our front. We hit one of them with at least 45 hits from everything from 20mm to 150mm. The only thing that happened was knocked off the tread of one and little bits and pieces of the super structure such as radio antennas and such. Damaged the turret on two of them but not enough to stop them from firing back. As one took out one of my SP TD just after we put a big hole in the turret.
Finally managed to get three engineer squads up along side one of them after repeated assualt trys and over 5 minutes of throwing satchel charges at him. One landed up on the rear deck and ripped a whole in his rear. Which we then tossed a few grenades thru and blew him to hell. They are one tough cookie to even put a dent into. Really gets to be old hat when you lay volley after volley into one and he just sits there and smiles back at you. Really lowers the morale of your tank force. And he fights back and takes out one of your own team. We are moving more squads up next to them and hope to be able and assult the other 3 and to start our move on the rear objective.
We have not broke the spirit of the British yet but we are sure abusing them alot. They wont be able to continue much longer at this pace. Once again we are proving we are the better fighting force. Soon all of north Africa wil be in our hands and the british will go back to there little Island and leave us alone to our world conquest. Glory to the Father land.

dam the time is realy flying by. Already 1 hour and 50 minutes we have been slugging it out with the British. I believe we have delt with all there tanks. COULDNT MAKE A DENT IN THE mATILDAS SO SENT SEVERAL SQUADS FORWARD IN A FRONTAL ASAULT. THESE MEN at a very high personal risk with no thought for there own safety Rushed forwrd and after several trys took out all three of the Matildas. Once again B is on the move toward the rear objectives. They have moved to within 700 yards of the rear flags. Have extended the north and south flanks out so as to form a pincer on the center. They are pushing the British towards the center of the map. C in the north has become a rather ragtag line I am sorry to say. The constant bombardment they have been under is tearing them apart. Several units are being pushed to try and catch up with the front line at the moment. Thay are under a high amount of stress right now and dont really want to continue. I have sent two of my best ass kickin sgts over there to get them all moving again. These two have been with the unit since Poland the men really dont want to give them much in the way of grief are they may find there heads cracked open. I mean they are real nasty.
A 4.5 landed very close to Hq a few minutes ago took the head off of one of my adJutants as well. He was from a little town in the black forest region called Esweige I believe. Never really talked to him too much nice kid tho really tried hard to please. Will have to wreite his mom tonite and explain some how what happened. Seems I will be very busy tonite writing letters . Have lost way over 100 men today plus 4 sic 33 150s have been blown apart as well. Lost two of the crews which really hurts they were very experienced had at least 24 kills between them. Will be hard to replace them with anything near to there skills. Also have lost at least 4 tanks to the excellent shooting of the british crews. I hope we have seen the last of the Matildas as we move towards the rear. Lost a tank to a 18mm Gun. was his fault he got excited and moved too far out in front of his infantry support. They took out the gun almost immediatly after he was blown up if thats any consalation to him. I have been very explixit about the order for the tank to wait for there support before moving anywhere today. We feel very good about our efforts against the British armor. At least 50 of there tanks have felt the wrath of our tank crews today as they were blown to bits. We have some tank crews that have at least 28 kills with alot of them coming today. Will have to check if I have time and find out who has the most kills so i can award some medals. The crews always get a big boost when ever I hand them out.
This battle is winding down and will soon be over withus getting a decisive victory for Germany once again today. Another great day on the battle field for us.

Have gotten to within 700 yards of rear objectives. The two flanks have been pushing all the enemy intowards the center of the map.
The south flank has located at least 4 2in mortors and taken out 2 18 pdr along with a 25 pd gun in there push towards the rear. These were located on the extreme south wing of the flank. The engineers there managed to get close and satchel charge the 25 pd gun.
Anything unlucky enough to be discovered in the center is quickly being destroyed. Lots and lots of tank crews are being caught in this push and being cut down in short order. Every once in a while a squad will turn and try to fight but with not much luck they too are soon cut to pieces. I have two sic33 that have some ammo left. They have been area firing a head of the line as we move forward. This has taken out several short squads that might have given us some trouble.
There is no doubt we will take and secure the rear flags. The only question is how much longer will it take. I say that within the next 40 minutes this battle will be over and the british will have suffered a decisive loss. At least 70 of there tanks lie twisted and torn apart all over the battle field along with this at least a 1000 of there men lie next to these tanks. It has been a bad day for the British and there so called invincible army. They should go back to there tiny island and leave us alone to our world conquest. We will come for them soon enough if I know our leader Adolf Hitler.

Took us a little over two hours to send the British packin with there tails between there legs. I knew they didnt have the fire power we could muster. No way were they going to stand up to our overall strength. We took out 86 of there tanks to us losing only 14. Some of there losses were due to the bravery of our troops who recklessly charged into the face of there tanks and took them out in frontal assaults. I will be recommending several squads for some medals today. They really deserve them for the heroism they showed when staring into certain death. With no regard to there own safty they climbed up on these tanks and layed there demolition charges before jumping off and running out of the explosion. At least three matildas were blown up this way and this was after our tank gunners had hit them with maybe 20 shells and doing nothing more serious then knocking off a radio attenna.
We lost 190 brave men today but we sent 1521 of theres right along with them. At least where ever brave soldiers go they will have a bunch of lackeys to do there bidding. Also took out 31 of there 18 pd and 25 pd along with amess of those pesky 2inch mortars. We lost one mortar crew along with there weapon. Not too bad of an exchange i would say.
I dont know where are who we will be fighting but I know we are not going home. We are to stay in this very hot and arrid ugly country for at least another month thats for sure. I got to see the General today. he stopped by to see the battlefield after the British had fled. he was very pleased and dsaid some really nice things to the men. What a strking speciman of mankind general Rommel is. from his looks and his words I bet our morale went thru the roof after he showed up and spoke to us. He really showed emotion over our losses as he looked at the bodys we had laid out to be removed back to Germany. I think our men would have followed him to hell and back after that. We are to rest and recoup and get replacements before we have to move back into the front lines. I just hope they are not the children we have been recieving . We need some hardened veterans to go up aginst the british next time. They are going to be very pissed and will attempt to destroy us the next time we meet im sure.
