Problem when installing 1040 patch

Hello,

My brother give me this game a s a present and I have successfully installed in my computer.I have a serial number in a piece of paper sticked to the box and entered it when installing without problems.

Now I have downloaded the last patch (1040), copied it into my computer and entered the same serial number.However, the installation program tells me "Invalid serial number" when I put the number.I have also registered the game online and you could see the number registered in member "caine".

Is there any step required apart from downloading and registering the game? If not, it must be some problem with the patch.

I bought the game in Barcelona, Spain (Europe).Well, I guess my brother did.The distributor is Planeta Agostini-Interactive (out from memory).

I have checked the message "v1.071 Beta Online Patch Posted!" by Erik Rutins and I have gone to Members area and there is no 1.071 patch.

I have just seen that there will be a 1.071 patch to be available at the end of January.Will it solve the problem?

Hi Caine

Since you bought the game in Spain its almost certainly the international version. The international version is already v1.040 which is the reason your serial number does not work with the US download for v1.040. You thus currently have the most up to date version possible.

As you say a new version is likely to be posted in January (probably with the version number 2.000).
