Perhaps another thread should be started titled:

'WHAT GAME CURRENTLY UNDER DEVELOPMENT DO YOU THINK WILL NOT SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY IN 2006?"

I would like to add Sniper Ambush to my list but not certain if it will be available in '06 or at all for that matter........

Given Combat Leader's history you should probably wait at least 3 more years before making a disparaging comment like that...

The SA project is barely over a year old.

My comment was not meant to be disparaging and I apologize if you took it that way....Lack of updates simply had me wondering about it, and you shoud be grateful that I still consider the title enough to give it a plug.........but, whenever it comes out, I will be looking forward to it because there has not been any turn based game that will remind one of Victory Games AMBUSH and BATTLE HYMN series....

1) COTA
2) Distant Guns.
3) GalCiv2

Regards..
A tank attack which is divided into phases is like a cavalry charge with meal breaks.

"S.T.A.L.K.E.R." is what I look forward to. And some time to actually play it ...

How's it coming along? From the boards it seems a lot of people agree it looks like a very promising title.

Well try to refrain from the word "vaporware" when plugging the title elsewhere... [:-]

Er well I'm going for a bit more of the UP FRONT feel, just with hexes, line of sight, and other more staple wargaming goodies... So perhaps it will still have ample nostalgic value in the AMBUSH department.

The primary reason I seldom post my banner anymore is so I don't encourage thread-hijacking in regards to commentary on my projects. That and I'd hate to be accused of having an alternative motivation for posting habitually (As I personally think is often the case for Mr. NWS over at Wargamer, god love him).

So all I will really say is to continue to check the website. I have rewritten the main SA page and started the SA F.A.Q. page over with the more useful and appropriate Q&A. Email us some questions and we will try to post the answers..

My goodness, not only do you not graciously accept my apology, as you are compelled to place juvenile finger pointing icons and belabor the point further, but you drag poor Chris from NWS into this...learn to be a bit more tolerant, since my original comment was only speculative and did not damn your game in any way... also, since I was well aware you were around to comment, I expected a simple "Do not worry JP, SA is alive and well" response which would have satisfied everyone, without the need to lecture...

I now apologize to the original thread starter for even bringing up SA which resulted in this unecessary diversion...

The game after COTA-- I will buy COTA but I am not a big fan of the Aegean.

Afrika by Mike Kreuzer

NWS Navies at War-- I thought they did a fantastic job updating Fighting Steel.

TacOps Update--- It would be great to make new scenarios on new maps with new AI. Not even sure if this is being worked on.

Matrix Battleground-- Hey I still hope the Orioles will win the pennant this year too.

The Unknown One-- I still believe that somewhere in dark sweaty basement, some tortured genius is close to finishing the ultimate war game that he started programming 20 years ago when the Atari400 Computer came out. And now, as he goes without sleep, sucks down Jolt Colas and pumps out 10,000 lines of code a day, his unknown masterpiece will explode on the wargame scene this year and it will be like Wargame Crack. People will get divorced, lose their jobs, homes, and even pet dogs as they spend hour after hour playing “just one more scenario” against an Artificial Intelligence called “Ralph”.

I would add Maximum Football to the list, but since the NFL season is now winding down, will not actually have interest in it again until the fall...

I was refering to your posts on other forums in the past elsewhere to which I did not respond. Like the one where the term vaporware was used. Perhaps it was some time ago but its hardly a plug when that term is used. And its not easy to believe nothing was meant by it when a history of such a post exists. I accept that you didn't mean anything ill by it, but at the same time postings like that are not very helpful in generating or maintaining the interest of others.

David Heath himself put the icons here for all of us too use, they aren't juvenille. They are an alternative way to emote just like <sigh> etc.

The rest of the post was as much addressed to everyone else as you.

I've been repeatedly bothered by some about including my banner here so I explained why I choose not too (which includes the bit about Chris lest I be a hypocrite since I agree with those that dont approve of his usage).

Many people do not want to read spam of any type on forums, not mine and certainly not his.

And people have gotten very angry in the past when threads have turned towards discussions around me, my games, or my site.

Lastly if anyone wants to know something about one of my games they can in fact email me questions. Why some claim to be very interested and enthusiastic yet never do this I don't know. And some of the same complain about lack of info or updates yet never ask for any information in the first place.

Bringing up SA would have been fine, but you could have done so in a way that didn't require me to respond to correct your statement. And thus have averted an otherwise unecessary thread hijacking...
