Russian Units can't move

Post by Ben Borowsky »

When I play the russians, I can not do any kind of movement. When I select an item to move (which is legal, the first move of the game) and move the mouse to the next neighboring country, the arrow does not show up, but there are a series of numbers that flash right above the icon. It will not let me move.

I did the whole reboot thing, start new game thing, etc...

Any thoughts?

THank you, Ben Borowsky

Hi Ben,

The Russians start the game out "frozen" so its quite expected that they cannot move. I urge you to read rule 3.2.6 in the manual for the full explanation.

A) Does that include not moving even amongst the Russian spaces? Let's assume it does... But the message it gives me is not the same as when I try to select other frozen entities, using different nationalities.
B) What are the flashing numbers? Is this a bug, or is this trying to send me information?

A: Correct.
B: Yes, thats a known bug.

If you try to move the units in Rumania to Bulgaria before unfreezing the Rumanians or WA troops within the US you will see the exact same - its not specific to Russia. Obviously a real message should be shown instead of the long number - we cannot disagree about that.

Thank you so much for the feedback. I appreciate it, and can now just ENJOY the game.
