Coolest Uniforms

Post by ilovestrategy »

Who do you guys think had the coolest uniforms? Personally I like the Roman Tribunes. Damn they looked good. Late 1800's British officer dress uniforms looked really cool too.
After 16 years, Civ II still has me in it's clutches LOL!!!
Now CIV IV has me in it's evil clutches!

nazi SS. Also there is nothing quite like a Nazi offier with his kepi holding a luger and yelling "achtung! Amerikans!"

I also like the French soldiers of the early to middle 1700s. They had a spiffy tricorne hat with plumes, and swords were still quite in fashion at the time. You can't but admit that the musketeers had cool uniforms!

and then there's the vatican swiss guard...[:D]

German WWII uniforms are cool. Remember Ed Harris in Enemy at the Gate?[8D]

I have always had a soft spot for the Polish Winged Hussars. The Germans certainly knew how to look spiffy in WW2 and I also like the US marines dress uniform.

As far as I know, he didn't design them, he only produced those uniforms.

I like the German WW I uniforms.

#1. Any of the US Marine specific uniforms.

#2. WWII Nazi SS black uniforms (if it's true that Boss designed those threads, then it certainly shows)

#3. The new US "Predator" camo uniforms.

" I've always thought that the Louisianna Tigers looked pretty spiffy."

They also get my vote. I had some friends who reconstituted the unit for the NSSA (North-South Skirmish Association - a target competition organization, not re-enactors). The second national matches they attended were in a heavy downpour, and their red shirts faded onto the white and blue trousers, turning them pink and purple. From then on, we called them "the Pink Puddycats".

edit... the forum made me change the name slightly...

This is probably my favorite uniform. Not sure what country (or that it matters):
