US "funnys" and variants?

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

US "funnys" and variants?

Post by sjuncal »

Can anyone relate some lesser known US Tank and AFV variants? Any web pages out there?

I'm looking for any later variations of the M3 Lee AKA Grant, did this tank just cease to be used after North Africa? Was it ever up gunned? I know of an "M3A3" but don't know if it differs significantly. Also has seen some ARV versions of it, but they don't have much use in the game.

Reason I ask is I'm interested in adding them so as to have more upgrade options... I don't think a section or two of field modified or prototype/oddball/funny AFV's is outside the scope of an undersized battalion core force.
