"Live Players" for "LIve" Games

I dont' know about the rest of the Steel Panther Fans, but I find Live games far more exciting and unpredictable. Nothing better than watching your opponent panic. Making quick choices, good or bad keeps me on the edge of my seat. [X(] So anyone wishing to contact me for a "live" game, please feel free to email to set-up a day and Time. I presently have ICQ and MSN for chat or maybe we can meet on the Gamer Net chat room. All are Welcome 4-6 players per game max.

This Saturday Augs 27th 2005. Normally anywhere from 6pm Eastern standard time (USA) until the cows come home. Most the "live" players are on Icq. I got 31 member list. Almost all of them SP veterans. Hope to see ya then...[8D]

When I updated my 8.4 install, my 8.3 install also got the 8.4 screen.

When I try to play online I receive the message that my opponent is using 8.3 (and I am not- but I am dammit!)

How can I set up my install so that I can play 8.3 online using my 8.3 install

Is it a registry issue?

what happens if you just take an 8.3 mech and replace it into your 8.3 install?
Have you tried that?
have you tried starting the game directly from the main folder?

Fixed it.

I have both 8.3 and 8.403 running in seperate installs but both under the same Matrix Games main folder.

I edited the registry entry and now my 8.3 install shows 8.3 and my 8.403 install shows 8.403

it's a thing of beauty.

Hello War gamers, I know I started this thread awhile back. My new job has been a problem for me staying up late nights to play. In the past I was there every night. Now it looks like weekends if I'm lucky. Day time I'm on from 3pm to 10 pm EST. Agian my apologies to everyone who has tried to contact me without success. I will be online more often.
