Looking for japanese opponent

Post by BossGnome »

well, I have just had a very harsh campaign in guadal canal as the allies, which i basically lost in the first 2 weeks, having none of my carrier fighters take off for some reason, and as the result of that getting all my carriers pretty much sunk dead.

HOWEVER! I am eager and willing to learn from this mistake! I wish to start another game as the allies in scenario 14B,the one starting in august of 1942. This time I will be, as allies, much more prepared. The first time I was just winging it and seeing what worked and what didn't, this time I have a much more precise plan in mind. Here is what I would like:

2 day turns, to increase playing speed
japanese and allied sub doctrines on
allied damage control advantage on
historical first turn off
player defined upgrades off

please e-mail me at guillaumelamothe@yahoo.com

Let me see if I have this right. You want to play a scenario that starts well after any chance the Japanese have of winning is long past, and you want some one to play those very Japanese. Well, good luck with that, sir!

Well i don't think getting into the big scenario after 1 game is a good idea.

We can try marianas with me as Jap if you want. Basically allies have decisive advantage so you can afford making some mistakes.

alright then we can start the game when the japs still have a good chance of winning. how about the one that starts in april 1942? midway hasn't happened yet so all the jap carriers are still intact. I would like to do a big game, I am actually an experience player, just an experienced JAP player. And i still don't understand how i lost all my carriers in my other game... i dont think it was a mistake of mine, but for some blasted reason (weather, whatever) my fighters didn't take off like they were supposed to... so if not august 1942, how about april 1942?
