The Ladies From Hades

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

The Ladies From Hades

Post by malthaussen »

There is a serious bug in this game which should be addressed ASAP. I'm talking about the fact that Britain has no Highland regiments! After all, everybody knows the kilties saved the Empire.:)

Accordingly, I propose the following new unit type, for Britain only:

Highlanders: normal infantry, except only built in Highlands province (duh). Start with .25-.5 more morale than normal British units. Should cost extra, especially in textiles (for the kilts, of course). Differ from normal infantry as follows:

Do not deploy skirmishers (I read somewhere, source forgotten, that Highland regiments did not have flanking companies and did not use skirmishers. Perhaps someone who is an expert in the subject could correct me).

Fire +10, Melee +10, extra chance to displace enemy.

As an alternative to building these units (the Brits, after all, only had a few Highland regiments), perhaps a division a year could be added to the Brit forces. After all, almost every other country gets special units of one kind or other.
