Bugs will kill your game time

Guys for the past week i have been unable to do anything in thed forum. Due to a lt of bugs in my system. Just got it goining again today thanx to a friend who recommended a good virus program. Downloaded a free copy of ewido malware scanner. Did a scan on my system found 126 files infected. Cleaned them out and now able once again to catch up on my aars. thank heaven for a good frienxd who put me on to this great prograam. It all started about a month ago with an excessive amount of pop ups. If anyone remembers I had siad something about all the pop ups I was getting. Well as of today and from now on I hope this has been cleaned up. was really frutrated when ever i came in here and clicked on something i locked up and had to reboot. Wish me luck from noww on hope i have found the cure.

Glad to have you back online.

I have two more products that are freeware that we use here for spyware elimination:

Adaware

Spybot Search and Destroy

We use them both. One usually catches some of what the other misses. I don't think there is one spyware product out there that catches all the spyware because spyware detection programs are always playing catchup.

Why don't you switch to linux, no problems with viruses and the game runs fine [:D]

I have a problem. My background says spyware infected and there is a little cirlkce with an x thru it right next to norton and time in bottom of screen. And from that it says spy war infected ect ect. I have tried all 3 above and all updated but I still couldnt fix it with them, and my homepage and browser have been hijacked by about:blank. Can u guys help me?

Okay, try Crap Cleaner (another free spyware program):

If you are still keeping your Norton up to date, I would call their support line and tell them what your problem is. If you are paying for support to keep your computer from being infected, they should *do* something about it, besides telling you to rebuild your computer from the startup CDs.

And you might want to consider another virus program other than Norton. I have always had bad luck with their AV software. It integrates too tightly with the OS and in my experience, has been a pain in the rear to remove without damaging my system.

That's funny--when I tried typing
./spwaw.exe
from my linux terminal prompt, it didn't work. Go figure.

If you want to run SPWAW on a real computer, just hold out and buy an Intel-based Mac.

No viruses *and* the sweetest interface around.[;)]

Yes, you need to type: "wine spwaw.exe" and of course you need wine installed. That's all though, I had no need to configure anything or to pull any magic tricks.
