Hey Raver, good to see some Yankee ingenuity helping you with your weapons program. Nice T-Shirt!

We get the third pick in the draft. World Champions in two years? Yea right[:-]

Or is it simply is skill as a master weapons builder?

Raver

I noticed in your 1st photo that on your top book shelf just to the left of your helmet you have " Victory at Sea" by James Dunnigan and Albert Nofi. Thats a good read and a grognards encyclopedia if Ive ever seen one.

My guess: Luskan should soon expect multiple heavy bomber raids over Central and Northern Honshu in no time at all!

I think the banana has been complaining about lack of supply in the homelands, in a couple of months the civilian population will be eating the local rodents to survive!

Raver must be playing the AI.

I certainly haven't lost any home islands (yet). Unfortunately from the way I play, if I loose the game it will be lost on the frontier (thus leaving invasion of the home islands inevitable) - rather than a violent last stand.

We aren't far enough along to have had that sort of invasion yet.

Ashames me to admit Raver's bookshelf is the same size as mine, but he seems have more WW2 books.

As far as his crowning himself the best allied player on the forums [X(] . . . If he is maybe he is ready to try playing as the Japs [:D] After all, a great allied player is the equivalent of a bad jap player????!

One of our best UV games was where he played the japs, me the US, neither of us able to get our acts together as well as we'd like, flailing around the pacific.

Where's my turn???????

I think it is harder to play as Allied because one has to take it in the chin for a year or so while the Japanese player goes nuts and then has to hope the same player does not call it quits when the shoe is on the other foot.

Of course one would expect a statement like that from a ratbrained bananana[:-]

The person that I am playing lives in the US.

A yankee eh? Are you sure he isn't a traitorous admiral? Trying to throw the game so the US wins?!?

On the other hand, Raver may have tried his patented WW1 type "charge!" tactic (to one degree or anothe) where on turn one he sends every unit on the map to the one rally point, and as soon as they are all there sends them off to hit Toyohama and destiny sort of thing.

It is such a crazy tactic that it caught me off guard - only won that UV game out of sheer luck (and the fact that some of Raver's admirals reacted aggressively . . . and others didn't, dividing his forces of the Ozzie coast.

If I were that jap player, I'd be going for my own end run [:'(]

Harder to play as the allies because of the first 12 months you say?!?

How much talent does it take to get beaten around the head with a stick?
