Early American Warfare

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Early American Warfare

What do you think are the chances we will see the COG engine branch off to the War of 1812 or dare I say it ................. Americas War of Independence

This is a huge hole in our hobby,as the only titles available to early American warfare are pretty dated [X(]

With the exception of WWII PTO (tactical that is) The Seven Year War, Americas War For Independence and the War of 1812 are some of the most over looked time period in your hobby

We don't need the COG engine to branch off for this...just extend the current map a bit further westward... [:)]

I suspect it would take a little more effort then just extending the map [;)]

But I also suspect from the replys or, lack of, that in it self is a indication
of Interest level of early American warfare [:)]

I think its a great idea. The only computer games that I can think of off the top of my head that cover this period are the ones from HPS.

Such a good idea, I've made it my one post for the year...[:D]

I like their map art. Nicely done color pallette. Am I understanding correctly, that it's developed by a french company?

I also have been watching this title since the Announcement over at Wargamer. The forum is not much to look at, with little to zero info from the developers, I think I might wait for the customer feedback before I jump on this one.

Last word on Birth of America was that it should be GOLD any day now. I look forward to this game but will also wait until I read some feedback. I've bought my last game going in blind and with nothing but hope.
