Is WitP more intelligent than WPO?

What prompts this question is the following:

When I save PBEM WitP files then open WitP I am prompted to run the highlighted number 1 save slot with the combat replay. Having run this when I ask to Load a Save game WitP intelligently prompts me to open the save file I have just received.

On the otherhand no matter what WPO always prompts me to open the combat replay file.

Okay it's no great deal but I was just curious.
