A few strange things...

Post by *Lava* »

Hi!

Have noticed a couple things which seem a bit weird.

1) Can't minimize the game
2) On install, the game did not autoinstall, I had to go to the disc and install from there
3) On quiting the game, I get an error message which asks me if I want to inform Microsoft about the problem

Is all this correct, or is there a problem(s) here?

Got the game a few days ago. Patched it immediately to 1.2.18. Then spooled it up.

BTW, is there anyway to save or leave a detailed battle? Sometimes they go on for quite some time.

Thanks.. I'm a noob with this game but I'm trying hard to figure it out.

You can save in detailed battle by going to the menu button and saving. Yes some battles last an hour or more. At least the really good ones do.

Couldn't seem to find any "buttons" during detailed combat, but that is obviously my problem.

Thanks for the response.

Well...

Things seemed pretty weird, so I went back to the game and sure enough, the patched hadn't patched. [X(]

So I executed the patch again, restarted and right off noticed I had no problems with exited the game anymore. So things are looking brighter.

Sorry for wasting your time. Looks like a kewl game btw.

yea, you may of been looking in a verison one game

I beleive the save was added in 1.1

just in case, hit menu and this is where it is at

just a note, remember that the next turns battle reports may show up screwy

but over all it is worth it

oh, by the by, I hope you know I went to war with Spain, to take that snap

I seen I could trap 250,000 men in one province if I timed it right

hehehe

27 POW's later and 3 new Arty Divs, I pulled it off

but for all the damage done, Spain took two provinces and gained 150 points for Lux, so HARDly put a dent in there Morale

even if two of there main Field Armies have disappeared

Wow!

Talk about sacrificing for a fellow gamer!

Getting the patch installed, sorted me out. This thread is one of the those "put foot in mouth" kinda moments.
