The situation is normal everywhere. The big troubles in Malaya should be ended.

There is not too much to say as report.

I've decided to proceed with caution. Now I'll reinforce the garrison that I already have and I will occupy all the base in the back of those garrison. Example: Noumea and, soon, Luganville, will be reinforced and after, with the air cover from those bases, I'll occupy all the islands between SW PAC and Rabaul.
I have two inf divisions coming from Japan and loading onto ships. I think I'll use them in the PI. I want to close here the game asap and, then, go to Malaya to close the game there.

BURMA

Chuck is continuing to attack my troops at Moulmein with all that he has in India, Blenheim, Buffalo, B-17.
My attack against Moulmein didn't go well: 2850 casualties and zero result.

At Ormoc my troops captured the base and 1528 prisoneers.
At Iloilo the Kainan infantry is at the extreme limit. I'm sending reinforcement as quick as I can but I don't know if they'll arrive in time.

MALAYA

We are continuing to bombard each other at Johore. I don't have enough forces to attack but I can stay there until I want.

BORNEO

I reinforced the garrison at Singkawang. Now I can base there 220 planes. The AF is at size 3 (expanding) but a lot of planes can already operate.

CHINA

South of Nanchang two of my division encountered what seemed to be only a couple of enemy units so I ordered them to attack. But the enemy units where ten, with over than 92'000 men and I suffered 6092 casualties [:@] At least their march in direction of Nanchang is stopped.

Next step will be the conquer of Amboina. I'm sending TF Nagato to bombard the installation, while the 56. Bde is loading ad Menado to attack the base. 22. Base Force is loading at Palau to provide the air ops.

Rabaul is at size 4 and can operate Betty and Nell.

SS I-53 placed 2 torpedos on one dutch AK off Batavia.

TF Nagato bombarded Amboina, killing 607 enemies.


SOUTH PAC

I've occupied Abemana. Is not so important as a base, but I hope this move will force him to react.


CHINA

Chuck tried a shock attack at Kaifeng. Result: a massacre; 2582 chinese dead. I've lost 293 men. I don't know how long my troops can hold the position. There are over 60'000 chinese and I have less than 20'000 men.
South of Nanchang, where yesterday I've lost over 6000 men, the chinese attacked and forced my troops to retreat to Nanchang. I've lost 776 men and the chinese 1'121.
The situation is very dangerous.

On allied AK torpedoed by one of my SS near Batavia. My crew seem have found the way to fight as Emperor is expecting since the beginnig of the war.
One of my Nell taking off from Palembang, attacked and placed one torpedo on DD Electra in the Indian Ocean.
Other victims of my planes operating in the area are 1 TK and 1 AK.
I transfer there one daitai of DB Ann. The plane is not so great, the bombs are of only 100 kg, but against merchant traffic I think it's enough.

He tried to come back in Menado, attacking with is garrison, but without success.

From Menado I've loaded part of the 56. Bde that is currently heading to Amboina, protected by the TF Nagato and the baby-KB.

The reinforcement arrived in Iloilo stopped the attacks of the allied.
The 2. Armd Bn in Aparri are still alive. They tried again to conquer the base, but they lost another 11 tanks.

I've decided to invade PM now, before he can reinforce it. I have all the 16. infantry division for this purpose. I now it's risky, but in this game I want to take some risk, and to wait. For the air cover I have Zero in Rabaul and Lae and I splitted KB. I know is not a great idea, but I need some Zero over their heads. Shokaku and Zuikaku are heading towards PM.
For today thunderstorm are forecasted in the area, and this is good.
A surface TF with 4 CA and 2 DD is coming asap from Rabaul to help with the invasion. Is now some hexes in the back of the inv TF. I don't know if the 16. div will be enough but reinforcement are on their way.
Anyway, maybe this will force Chuck to come out with his CVs.

Another AK topredoed by I-55. She sunk.
The TK damaged yesterday also sunk.
Chuck ordered a night air raid over Palembang. 1 resource hit.

Today I landed on Babo.

The Nell coming from Palembang placed 2 torpedos on DD Pope, and sunk him north of Kuching. What he was doing there? Chuck has a lot of courage and he has no intention to loose without inflicting me all the possible losses.

Other ships attacked in the waters between Borneo, Sumatra and Java: 3 AK and 1 MSW sunk. They had 4th NEIAF Base Force on board. The men are now swimming. [:D]

My invasion TF is now 1 hex W of Amboina. The landing will begin during the night.


BURMA

My Oscar operating in Burma managed to limit the damage that the allied bombers inflicted to my troops, but today Chuck used also the B-17. I have to organize a serious air defense there, but for now I can't. I've sent an air regiment to Bangkok but he needs two more days to arrive at destination.


SW
I started the air campaign over PM, with 39 bombers.

Meanwhile planes from Shokaku and Zuikaku sunk one AK SE of PM.
Maybe Chuck will think that the whole KB is south of New Guinea and he will come out with his CVs to attack my ships around New Caledonia. I really hope the things will go in this way, so that I'll attack him with the KB.

The invasion force is just one day from PM.

The infantry has finally arrived in Luganville. The base is now occupied.

Iloilo is captured today. The enemy forces are retreting toward Roxas.

The 56. and the 2. Division are coming from Japan. I will unload them in Luzon.

During the night I started to land in Amboina.
On daylight, A-24 Dauntless attacked my ships. Baby-KB assured the air cover but they scored 1 bomb hit on one AP and 2 bombs on one MSW, that sunk in the evening.

Babo is captured.

Nanumea is in my hands.

The AK Tsuneshima Maru, loaded with suplly for Canton I. has been sunk by an allied SS. This is a bad event, because Canton is short of supply.

In the afternoon, also the landing on Port Moresby begun.

Now I have all the troops at Johore, with 1892 AP. I'll try immediately a shock attack today.

SW PAC

An enemy surface TF (CA Canberra, CL Perth and DD Le Triomphant) surprised my invasion TF at Luganville. The escort's DD have done a splendid job. DD Kasasagi and DD Hiyodori are sunk and DD Kiji suffered heavy damages, but only one hit on one AP and three hits on Canberra. The unloading operation can continue.
Mavis arrived today at Luganvill and the recon operation can start immediately. KB is south of Noumea, where I spotted 1 CA moving west.

As I expected the delib attack at Clark Field went bad. I've lost 1211 men vs 1603 allied.

MALAYA

In Johore the Shock attack reduced the fort to 0, but this costed me 4313 men vs 2044 brits.

The brits have evacuated Johore to avoid heavy losses during my attack. No I can concentrate the forces on Singapore.

The DD Asanagi has been sunk by an enemy surface TF at Nukufetau. It was the escort of a small AP loading a little group of infantry from the atoll.

I have installed a quiet big afld in Bangkok. Aircrafts taking off from there have attacked a big convoy in Rangoon, sinking 1 AK, 1 MSW and 1 PC, and damaging 2 AK

Finally I captured Wenchow, in the south.

This is a tough period and I don't have much time for the AAR, and even to play.
I missed 3 days of report, but nothing so important is happened.

I intercepted another AK directed to Manila, I suppose, and I sunk her.
In Roxas I finished off the defenders of the island, capturing 1192 men.
Apart Luzon, I have only to occupy Cebu I.

MALAYA

Today I lost 6 Nell and 1 Zero, while I shot down 4 P-40.

BURMA

2 more AK hit in Rangoon harbor and 1 in Moulmein. Another 1 hit off Rangoon. I'm trying to understand if he's leaving or if he's reinforcing.


SO PAC

Chuck is doing some recon over Noumea and Canton I. He's trying to figure out what I have there. I think that Canton is more in danger than Noumea. For this reason I'm sending there a lot of air assets.

I captured Amboina today. I've occupied Boela days ago, so the 4382 allied soldiers of Amboina could not retire there and they surrendered.

BURMA

At Moulmein I'm always fighting. He has ammassed thousands of troops there. My forces have been too slow to march and he had all the time to reinforce. I'm thinking to call back the troops and to use them in other operations.

One small dutch TF, with CL De Ruyter and 3 DD attacked 1 AP, 2 PC and 2 DD at Amboina.

I captured Dumaguete base, with 2782 allied soldiers.

BURMA

At Moulmein I made another shock attack and another disaster: 2931 dead.
I'm seriously thinking to retreat from there and to go directly to Lashio and Mandalay. At Moulmein I'm loosing only time.

The allied aviation is very effective everywere. Chuck placed some B-17 arounf the theatre and, even if they are operating in few numbers, they scored several hits.
But the event of the day is the occupation of Manila by my troops.
I've lost 2132 men and I inflicted 1632 casualties to the allied and I've destroye 8 A-24 on the ground that were transferred there a couple of days ago.

The first assault on Cebu failed, but I'm transferring more reinforcement to close the game.

In the S Pac I'm proceeding smoothly. Before I want to conquer all the base that I left behind my conquest, to have the air cover. I cannot keep KB there forever.

CHINA

Hong Kong falled today, finally. 19583 prisoneers.
I send the 104. division back to Canton, togheter with all the support units.
The 38. division will remain in HK and will be transported in Malaya, to help conquer Singapore.

At Yenan the fort has been reduced to 1. I hope to occupy the base during the week.

MALAYA

It's time to start a serious air campaign against Singapore. I want to free some units asap and the airport there is still open. I cannot send reinforcement there until allied aircraft can operate from there.
I'm transferring bombers in Saigon, Johore and Palembang. I'll set up some in naval attack and some in afld attack, against Singapore, Batavia and Kuching. Some allied aircraft attacked Singkawang from Kuching, forcing me to evacuate.
Meanwhile, I'm trying a deliberate attack, just to see how strong is the defense.

Today I started air campagin against Singapore.
I've lost 8 bombers and 1 fighter but the afld has been hit hardly.
I tried also a delib attack against the fortress with no result. I've lost 3800 men vs 2700 brits.
Ok that's a very important info for me. Now I'll stop the attack and I'll continue to bombard.
