Attaching Napoleon to a Corps

Frank Hunter's Campaigns on the Danube is an operational study of the campaigns along the Danube in 1805 and 1809. Campaigns on the Danube's system focuses on trying to present the player with the same sort of decisions placed on their historical counterparts; how to feed an army and move that army according to a plan, all the while trying to fight a campaign. There is also an option to allow players to play out the battles with miniatures and input the results.

Attaching Napoleon to a Corps

Post by barbarossa2 »

Does anyone know the the advantages / disadvantages of attaching Napoleon to a corps?

It seems to me the only advantage may be that he "tags along" more effectively, instead of being hard to order to where the action is at.

Actually, I just tried it, and I think just that would be rather valuable about it. It keeps him close to the action for that corps, and makes sure he will be used in combat for his bonuses and such. But is there another effect?
My friend, you would not tell with such high zest

None noted to date ( after 3 games as French )- but safety would appear to be a useful factor too ![;)]
