Ki102bs in CHS Scenario 50

Getting ready to start this scenario as IJ, and I notice there are 140 Ki102b Randys in the pool, even though production does not start until 10-44. Also, Sonia upgrades to this a/c. Is this right?

Hi Irrelevant,

I am the author of CHS Scenario 50. This is one of the bugs I have to go back and fix. From memory they should be Lily II's. So no its not correct. there are a number of other minor errors that I need to tidy up (I did the mod last august). The mod used the CHS data at that time and the default Scenario 15 setup.

I can comment that I have a PBEM that is now up to late March 1943 (approx 330 days) and we have not seen any serious issues.

So I suggest you edit the files or let the Japanese have an early batch of experimental FB's - they will need them once the Allied 4 engines turn up in numbers....

I regret to say that it is NOT in the current release (scenario 155)

NOR in the not released next version (177) as I saw it

NOR EVEN in my recommended changes for 177.

I did not define this device until after finishing my recommendations. Since there were no available device slots for a 57mm gun, I could not add it. ONLY AFTER I found devices I could remove (too many identical machine guns) could I add it.

I do not mean to imply it was never in any version of CHS - I have not checked that. It is not in CHS now nor planned, and I merely assumed it never was. If you added it - someone else removed it. But that is not something I was aware of.

IF you want it and I want it - we agree - so I am not trying to be contrary. Since I never saw the device you refer to, I cannot say it is less accurate than mine - it might be identical.

My only point is that I have the device defined if anyone wants it. I also recommend it be added to CHS - using my device changes (fewer MGs to permit adding British 3 inch rockets, Japanese 57 mm guns, etc).

Yep. You found an error in the proposed files NOT in mine either - speed of the same plane. But my documentation had it right - and I have notified Andrew the fields are wrong. In mph it should be 360. .

I have updated my Scenario 050. Fixes include ;

1) Removing the Ki102b's in the pool (they should have been Ki-57 II's)
2) Fixed up LCU's and HQ's that were outside their historical boundaries.
3) Fixed up Air Groups that were outside their historical boundaries.
4) Moved a number of Allied ships that started at Singapore and promptly changed sides (!)

The latest version is expected to be on Spooky's and Andrew's site imminently.

Finally, I will have a pretty large scale rewrite of this scenario once the lastest CHS is released. This version was based on a pre 1.06 CHS.

Also - with Andrew encouragement I will be providing Scenario 051 - an updated scenario using his new 5.1 map.

Scenario 050 (Andrews Map V3) and Scenario 051 are based on Scenario 13 (1st May 1942 to the end) updated using CHS date (1.3).

I have had a PBEM going from May 1st 1942 to April 1943 and this is a terrific situation if you don't want to keep doing the first six months....
