Renaming Units/Armies etc.

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Renaming Units/Armies etc.

Post by silber »

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but I'm having a difficult time renaming units. There seems to be some (small) limit on the number of characters I can use. In the 1792 scenario, I couldn't change "Armee Grande" into "Grande Armee", and just got "Grande A".

I don't know why Eric changed this - he said in an earlier post that longer text was confusing to some testers, which seems silly to me considering that the default names for many units is already longer than the new limit. It's annoying.

It should be changed to be longer. It's way too short as is.

I addressed this very issue in the Limited Beta Feedback area and received a response from Eric. Check it out.
