out of curiosity, if at the beginning of 1922 i decide to upgrade say half (50ish) of my USA DDs should i distribute them between the 4 mainland ports or is it the same if i leave them all in san diego? how do i know what the max each shipyard can chew on at a time?

the instructions seem a little vague on details so i'd love to hear general suggestions! for example a fleet HQ seems to speed up repair, but how signifigant is this advantage? san diego has 2 fleet HQ's while the rest have zero, but san diego only has a 50 shipyard, LA & seattle each have a 100, and mare has a 250. wouldn't there be a much bigger benefit if i move both those HQ's to mare, or 1 each to LA and mare? seems to me san diego is the worse place to have your fleet HQs at!

Clicking on a base will show the number of repair shipyards and repair points generated by the base.

Also, ports over size 7 are the best for repairing ships. IN general, if it is a mainland US or Japanese base, it is wells uited to repairing most ships (for BBs and CVs, use Mare Island, San Diego, Osaka, or Tokyo).
