Philipines sitrep 11th december 1941:

Enemy moved 2 divisons from Naga and tried to disloge our 1st Kure Bn from Legaspi beachead without succes. We are hopefull that Kure boys will hold on some more and tie up philipino divisons present there making capture of Naga and advance towards Manila easier.

16th division landed at Naga today supported by a para drop from Laoag and Lingayen. Paratroopers failed to take Naga airfield, but beachead is secured and 16th division will commence further actions against the enemy forces at Naga.

At Lingayen our forces are groving day by day and generals are debating the next target, should it be San Marcelino or Clark Field, both river crossings. Off the map that is attached to this sitrep there are 2 more divisions ready to reinforce our army on Philipines. 21st division is on ships coming from Hanoi, and 38th division will soon be embarking transports just after a quick shock attack on Hong Kong fort scheduled for tommorow.

Hoepner trains Royal Air force, but we have to live with that, for now... I'm more worried about AVG.... where it is? There is few options:

- he could bring them to Malaya: gen. Hawker promise me that he will close Singapore AF in the near future, but Johore Baru is lvl 4 as well

- he can use them in Java for offensive missions against KB (note: W-hawks probably aren't at Luzon anymore so they could join them too). That's good choice i think, if they engage KB pilots they could weaken our mobile strike.

KB continues with fierce attacks. Nothing can escape from Java. Although Imperial HQ hoped that KB could caught and sink Dutch TF (which attacked Jolo last turn), after the withdraw of mentioned fleet towards Menado (Amboina) this become impossible.

Nevermind, those Dutch fleet can be reinforced only with CA Huston and CL Boise, and I've decide to give command to Pfnognoff and Hawker my naval force (Wake naval fore) and that's should be enough for destroying Allied Navy in the southern DEI.

While sinking of transports aren't a greatest history success by the KB, i think there is much more benefit than just victory points:

- Allies can't reinforce or withdraw troops from the Java
- their cargo capacity will be reduced and no stealing our fuel is allowed.

Nothing to report except my 5th division didnt attack Alor Star and i am certain that i gave orders,anyway this is not first time[:-].
Troops continue to disembark at Songhkia while others embarks to ships. Imperial guards soon will be on Malaya. GH retreats to Singapore in astonishing speed[8D]. He left one pocket of resistance in Kuantan,18th div. moves to eliminate this treat for my left wing. Bombardment campaign is about to begin,150+ bombers under protection of two Zero daitai will start bombarding Singapore and possible Johore Baru. Transporting troops going slow and i start to use transport planes to airlift some units. Tojo crying for help in Burma and i must finnish Malaya quickly.

Invasion fleet for Tarakan finnaly sail to Tarakan under protection of five battleships. Idea is that BBs draw planes to attack them and later bombardment of Tarakan before main forces disembarks. KB was covered with clouds last day[:(] so some juicy targets miss,but doesnt matter,our run continues.

BURMA AND PACIFIC - PAUK'S AUTHORITY

I've already said about my plans in Pacific - my primary target is Rabaul. Once B KB deals with Hudsons at Rabaul i will start invasion.

In Burma, tk regiment passed Rahaeng and it's now one hex towards Rangoon. Panzers will wait till Mix Bde joins them and then move all together towards Rangoon. I need to provide air cover for that area to - Hoepner likes to train his airforce with attack on empty bases too.

I have no intention to capture Rangoon - just want to keep Moulmen-Rahaeng line. If GH reinforce Burma than i would welcomed that because it will be easier to capture bridgeheads in India.

Gen Hawker told me (and he was excited about that!) that Singapore will be captured by 1st February. Tojo wasn't pleased with that news, "It's too late, mon General, we have to be in Diamond Harbour and Chandpur by 15th January"....

Von Pfnognoff runing against the clock too, he needs to capture Clark Field ASAP so we can assign divisions to Java.

5th division reach Taiping and will continue to run south in order to cut allied forces in Kuantan. In meantime 18th division with 21st mixed bde running south from Khota Baru to Kuantan to complete circle arround four allied units.
Many troops assign to Malaya still waiting transports in Indochina,Tojo want Singapore ASAP but it will be hard to do before 1.1.1942.
