New sound files at Spooky's!!

Post by m10bob »

Spooky has generously allowed space to carry two sound files I located, for use as replacement files.
One, will replace the current "Allied victory cheer" with the sound of a bugle as the flag is being raised.(As gunfire is still present in the background, it lends itself perfectly to the end of an Allied battle).
This clip will be familiar to anybody who has ever seen old classic war films, as it has been played many times.
The second clip is a traditional Japanese "Koto", and is the perfect length to be played on the "loading screen"..
I strongly urge you to save your vanilla sound files, in case (for any reason), you prefer to go back to the stock file.
To swap files, just locate the Matrixgames file on your CPU, open it, and do likewise with the WITP file.
Next, open the sound file, (save the same numbered old file), and copy/paste the new files to your sound folder.
That's it..
I have tested both files and they blend well with the game, (especially the Allied victory bugle sound).

Go here and find the WITP "sound files"

I'm using that koto now, its very nice.

the bugle call is nice too, but I didn't completely like the sound of the 'gunfire' in the background. it almost sounds like a flag flapping or perhaps drums? I can't quite get my hands around exactly what that sound is. is there a larger file that you generated this from with a clearer sound?

No, that is gunfire.. If you play the clip on your desktop before you drop it into your sound folder, you will hear rifles, machine guns, (WW2 era), and some explosions, as well..It blends so well with WITP that you probably thought it was one of the WITP files you were listening to ![:)]
