I would hope that Kendari, Ambonia and some other important oil centers just to the north/NW of this map are all smoking trash heaps! as you snipe with your heavies!

With this incursion into the DEI and your North Japan venture, you seem to have poor Zeta in trapped between some vice-grips.[:D][:D][:D]

I've only just landed on Timor.....it's going to take a month or so to get the airfields up to scratch and supplies shipped in.
Kendari is a jap ghost town as is Amboina. I have the troops to move faster but I am seriously hamstrung but a lack of troopships............all efforts were put towards the invasion of Northern Japan.

However I will comitt to saying that the oil fields of Borneo will be a smoking slag heap within the next few game months.[:D]

The kami's have not actived yet, and I don't think they do until 44 but they are usless any ways.

Yup, kami's activate on 1st January 1944, not before.

I'm more interested if Home islands divisions are activated? (there is some rule about invading HI and activating divs, same as in Vietnam) ?

And the war continues. These past week or so I have simply been content to consolidate my situation in Northern Japan, and also to try and finish taking Shikka. Well Shikka fell to me about two days ago, but the japs have now scurried off into the hills and I am going to have to winkel them out. But at least the base is now mine and I can build up the port and the airfield.

there has been little no air to air combat, even though I have been sweeping his northern most airfields Zeta refuses to commit. Out a desire to down yet more japs I sent my CVs sailing down the eastern seaboard of Japan, with plans to maybe hit Tokoyo'a ports or even better yet industry.

Things were going well and I even had two bombardment groups ready to rush in, when all hell broke loose. Zeta had decided that enough was enough and sent up swarms of aircraft in four major waves. I think that just about anything that had an engine and a set of wings was sent because the sky was simply black with jap aircraft.[:(] I have to admitt that I damn near shat me pants a couple of time when I saw the size of these air raids. But even though he did manage to break through my cap the carriers are all intact....the same cannot be said for one of my BB battle groups which in the morning took the brunt of the attacks. None have sunk but the USS Colorado is in grave danger.

All up I lost about 150 aircraft, but the Japs lost some 290. Numbers that jap cannot sustain for long. I notice that China has become a nursery for raising the exp levels of jap pilots and no doubt they will also soon be committed to the defense of the homeland................more targets for me.

The ONE thing that is still a mystery..............where is the Jap fleet? Zeta still has not set them into battle????????????

Supply train is safe.....mostly AKs going in in ones or twos. Nope, I think that the jap CV are skulking somewhere he southwest pacific.

Ha ! I'm at it again....this time I am landing troops at Victoria Point and the plan is to thrust deep to cut Zeta's supply lines to his troops in Burma ! I am already locked in battle with him at Mandalay and this will force him to redeploy troops form either Malaya or Burma....either way it is win win for me.
In other news my first bombing raid was launched from Shikka today, but it was more of a training flight and so I decided to hit an airfield at Mukden (somewhere in the north of China) and ended up bagging a heap of planes caught on the ground. This was a great boost to my green aircrews
