Robert, we went to the Colorado History Meseum this weekend. They have your picture (avatar) hanging next to an exhibit on the 10th Mountain Div.

Was it labelled rtrapasso???[:'(][:D]

Very interesting - if i get out to Colorado area, i might have to check this out.

No label. Where is your avatar from? It looks very familiar.

After seeing the exhibit all i can say is im thankful it wasn't me doing that training. Spending a winter in a tent at 10,000 ft is not my idea of fun.

That's Joe from "Willie and Joe" cartoons by Bill Mauldin (who died a couple of years back).

I thought it was to drill holes in the hull to let the water out.

That's why flooding *and* fire are so dangerous: the listing keeps the firefighters from rolling around efficiently.

Let's see, not quite 1 year, 7463 posts, let's call it 25 posts per day or so, so you need to average 2.5 posts/day to The Thread...

Yes, the IJN thought that this would be offset somewhat by the fact that the rollers were wet from the flooding and thus would put out the fires quicker, but they forgot to account for the ones that just rolled right off the ship. [X(]
