RE: Weapon/ vehicle breakdowns

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

I see no reason to complain about this. With it turned "on", it's a random occurrence. No allowance is made for historical breakdown percentages -- that's WAY too much to ask. Remember, we're talking about the technology of WWII, here. Motorized vehicles had only existed for 30 years or so. These were fragile machines.

Frankly, I think too many WWII gamers expect modern standards for many capabilities of vehicles and weapons. This popular misconception has ruined many games.

oooh, and a setting in the preference screen for breakdowns that can be adjusted per game:

ARTY vs ARMOUR 120% US 110% GE

BREAKDOWNS 50% US 90% GE

How hard can it be? [;)]

Two minutes? That's a worlds record there; as most of the kids I know are kicking the back of the seat, screaming, and carpping their pants at that point.
