More Napoleonic Music?

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

In the music folder of Crown of Glory I might try replacing some the sound files (I believe they are in .wmv format) with my own, i.e. renaming my sound files to replace the ones currently in there. I don't know if you can just add some music in there and have it play.

Need to rename existing .wmv files, can't just add new ones.

You wouldn't happen to have an mp3 of "Ca Ira," would you? Been looking for one for awhile.

Has anyone heard Roger Waters' opera 'Ca Ira'? Waters of course was the man behind Pink Floyd during the 60's and 70's.

Actually, Roger Waters was the man behind Pink Floyd during the 70's & 80's; Syd Barrett was the man behind PF during the 60's. Sorry, don't wan't to be a wise guy but PLEASE give Syd the credits he deserves, he's allready having a hard time!
Hand in hand, Kameraden!

I think he means that you need to rename your songs to the name of songs in the music folder, so the game will play them. I also guess that your songs need to be converted to .wma format.
I think...

What I do is turn off music in the game options, and play the full version of eroica etc using winamp running in the background.

This is true, yes. Syd suffered and still suffers today.

They do need to have the exact names of the songs in the Music directory. However, they may work even if they are not in .wma format (though they need to have the .wma file extension!) -- the program makes a call to the Windows MCI and any format which your system's MCI knows how to play should probably work (the exact formats the MCI can play will probably vary from system to system.) Converting them to .wma is the safest bet.
