The VCFL has made a program to update rosters but its bulky and time consumming. Each team is sent an access file with what there rosters were last week by position they change it and send it back in the commish then updates it into the games database.
I would think very time consuming. Is there a way for each owner to send a export file to the commish to update there roster?
When you change your roster in the game, the screen you are looking at gets that data from a database. A database that David is giving us full access to. It should be very easy to create a program that takes the export file you mention above and apply all the changes without a commissioner having to enter anything. All he would need to do is run the program.
If a program like the one the VCFL uses could be modified to dump out roster changes into an xml file then you're set. Regardless there will be some solution to this issue very quickly as every league will have to make roster changes. With myself being a programmer, and a particularly lazy one at that, I'll probably try my hand at several different things like this with my league. [:)]
