Nice job.
Your troops can get their R&R while prepping for the next objective.
Dropping beer on enemy positions is evil and against the rules of warfare though[:-]

Quiet turn as I stage engineers forward to Kwal.

Apparently losing the Beer ration is a crime under the Australian Military regs

I am going to have to reorganise in next few days

Well done Andy!

But please don´t forget to bomb Truk, please! [;)]

Could you imagine to stage such an Attack on Colombo?
I think your Brit forces would appear in Colombo then?

He is not so strong yet, but he will receive very very many reinforcement units this year.
You need to make him transfer troops away from your line of attack.
If you like what I said love me,if you dislike what I say ignore me!

Hi Frank,

No, UK reinforcements only appear in Karachi or Bombay.

I don't think it's worth the risk of diversion of time and strength of forces needed to release the UK stuff. Especially as I recall someone saying that only HQ units appeared and NOT INF!

I still say keep slugging through the Pacific.

Truk I am not bothered about if he wants to contest it let him I can close it at will and kill a lot of pilots doing so.

Truk is just a big trap for him now.

Re India I have thought it through and the fact is its just not worth it.

There are only about 3 Inf Divs waiting in the que plus lots of air and sea.

If I was going to do it it would be late 44 but the fact is I dont have the assault shipping I would require to take either Bombay or karachi never mind the ground forces.

(5 Divs wrecked on Kwal/ 1 on Maloep) 3 more likely on Entiwok after Operation Sleep CENTPAC will have shot its bolt.

Then the focus will switch to SWPAC and SOPAC.

The only opportunity I can see for an Indian adventure is Autumn 44 assuming I have exhausted SWPAC and SOPAC and CENTPAC isnt ready for a deep strike.

I may be able to free up ABDA ground forces and assault shipping sufficient for a 4 - 6 Divisional assault on Bombay or Karachi but it is not likely.

Well done!

Your Inf Divs might be wrecked but what great experience levels they now have. As most of the damage was disabled squads you won't be getting too many replacements to cause the experience to be diluted.

Noticed that the LCU's at Kwai were at 100% strength, disruption nonwithstanding. Did they have replacements toggled "on"? If so, how many LCU elements have been permanently lost?
Where's the Any key?

I find it quite strange that all divs are at 100% strenght. This means they didn´t lost a single gun, sqad or anything! [X(] How can that be?

I'd be wary even in 1944 of a 4-6 divisional assault on Bombay or Karachi. You'd have to use all your forces for the attack and he only has to defend those two hexes to prevent your reinforcements from arriving. There would be a big chance your troops wouldn't succeed and then you'd lose the 4-6 divisions. Now, if you can invade Malaysia/Burma and cut India off from supply, then you could do it with a high probability of success.

Aye as I said not sure what happens.

My Divs suffered casualties in landing but have been taking on replacements as we go from the huge supply stockpile I landed. (33rd Div took a real beating as the last one to land in the teeth of un suppressed guns but ironically lost the fewest disabled squads as the post landing shock attack was at 3:1 not 0:1 like the rest)

Most of the Armour is at 90/90 so there is a tendency for armour to take heavier actual casualties but they reciover so dammed fast !!!!

India doesn´t need supply from Burma. There are so many ressource and HI centers it produces far more supplies than it needs.

For the next 6 months its a case of grind accross the pacific and NG to get his atrtrention focused.

This happens in any event.

The decision point is do I go Marianas/PI or go for a deeper strike at that point.

I havent decided one way or the other yet but I am thinking about it.

Andy

Don't play the MacArthur card...bypass the big japanese prison camps and strike deeply and hard.
