I can find the mineram III in the encyclopedia and know it is kept in another countrys equipment list , BUT I can't buy it. I've looked everywhere except my ass. Help

Dan, you can find the Mineram in the December 1949 Czech OOB. You can only access it from the scenario editor unless you go in and change the availability with the OOB editor. Hope this helps. If you don't want to bother with the OOB editor, you could always "capture" Allied mine destroying tanks and press them into service for Der Fuhrer. [;)]

Didn´t the Germans capture some british Mine-clearing tanks at Dieppe? I know they captured a ton of British equipment intact there.....

Hi Einar.

So far as I can tell, the Brits only used three Churchill flamethrowing OKEs (an early version of the Crocodile) at Dieppe--not mineclearing versions. (http://www.desertrat.brigades.btinterne ... ipment.htm)

However, Britain used mineclearing tanks throughout the war. In the game they start in 1939 with the Mk 1 Mineplough, then the Scorpion is available, then the Churchill AVRE and finally the Sherman Crab. The Russians had the PT-34 Mineclearing tank, based on the T-34, which is available in the game from October 1943 on. There may be others, but that was all I could locate after a quick search.

ok this has brought up an interesting question(well two actually) first how do you capture enemy equipment in the game. and second i am having problems getting groups on the same hex so that you can load troops and guns. at the begining of a scenario if they have been placed on the same hex by the designer i can get them to load...

Hold down shift and move they will then move into the same hex. Can load them then.

You can't actually 'capture' units in the game...you can, however, change the Nation button during the Purchase phase of a PBEM/Random battle or the Core Purchase phase of a Campaign game to another nation and buy their equipment. This can reflect the use of 'captured' vehicles or of your men dressed in the uniforms of another country to deceive your opponent. Some OOBs also have specific units that are deemed 'captured', such as the ANZAC Italian tanks and the Russian PzIII and PzIV tanks.

This technique is also useful for doing mixed-Allies battles, where you may have an American infantry battalion supported by British tankers, or Italian infantry in North Africa with German tanks.

Very nice. Unfortunately, I don't see the Germans capturing one for their use anytime soon. Maybe the Japanese can loan the Germans some of their advanced garden rake technology? [;)]

Hey, I was just passing on a useful bit of knowledge to a newbie...[:)]

Everyone else knows you just need a single engineer squad and a few smoke rounds to get your force through the minefields of the AI...[;)]

I used that one a loooong time when I first started playing. I play with them on now, but still haven't tried your flamethrowing trick. Will do one of these days.
