Front as of end of turn 4. My OOB is a mess.

We updated to the new beta, and I believe the most important changes actually still change? We'll see, I guess.

Looks like the spearhead in AGS is trying to either race north and attempt forming a Kiev pocket or further to the east to close off Southern Front.

Indeed, but light mud has hit (nekronion seems to have the WORST weather luck) so I'll have a brief reprieve I imagine, to fall back and perhaps fortify a bit.

Seems there are only infantry divisions going into Estonia, so it will likely fall around turn 6 or 7. Are you going to fall back to the Luga or will you stay around Pskov a little while longer?

I'm hanging around Pskov a tiny bit longer, and I'm giving up 2 RDs in hopes of defending it a bit longer too.

I say I'm giving up, it's more I can't really get them out so they're doing their duty to the motherland.

I've deployed around 8-10 full RDs to the area, so hopefully that'll suffice for a bit. I'm very wary about Leningrad though as a whole, it was the only area last game he did pretty well in despite me committing a fairly large number of reinforcements.

I forgot- I also whacked a panzer in the south. I lost, no doubt in large part due to some no-name terrible soviet commander leading the corps, but I did damage a significant amount of AFVs.

Turn 6: He completed the encirclement of a number of units in the south - I couldn't evacuate them last turn - and successfully took Odessa. Smolensk is set to fall next turn, and Kiev too probbaly.

2 hexes South-West of Yelnya, the largest tank battle of the war occurs. Rokossovsky, leading the 20th, with elements from the 24th supporting, succesfully pushes back two panzer divisions at the cost of 50% of our AFVs. We have perhaps one more attack, maybe two, after this on exposed panzers.

Still, in terms of percentages we traded equally and is certainly a stunning victory regardless. The 17th and 18th pzD will be left reeling.

We have a reserve armored force building up at Kharkov, which will be deployed to the Dnepr bend this turn.

The front as of turn 7. Kiev and E. Kiev falls to advancing axis forces, Smolensk was also given up. No big breakthroughs occur anywhere, but the cost of holding the line is beginning to prove very painful indeed.

The Soviet armored/mech stands by at the Dnepr, ready to respond to any Axis breakthroughs.

And we beat back a Panzer, reducing it's already crippled AFV stock.

The Dnepr city fell, annoyingly, to the exact same thing that happened last time - we won the battles but our elements were so disrupted that they just rout.

Rokossovsky continues to prove his worth, valiantly trading 300 AFVs for 30.

Still, we break the pocket and also manage to get another weakened panzer division!

A romanian unit, as per usual, takes a ridiculous amount of casualties retreating.

And we beat back the SS Mot Brigade that crossed the Dnepr. For one more turn at least, we shall hold the river.
