I wonder how WitP would handle the JU-88/FW-190 Mistel.... that'd be SWEET.

Not sure about the JU-88, but I sure would love the FW-190. At least the Japanese were offered it for license build. I think it was too expensive and would have had some problems with QC.

Then lets see the Allied bombers fly unscathed attacking any of my bases. I know the FW190 will punch holes in them.[:-]

Maybe. Pilot experience counts for a lot. When was (would) the aircraft be available?

The Germans were flying it in 1940-41. Not sure when the Japanese would be flying it though. Say 1942-43. Course by then the Japanese are starting to get some decent a/c of their own. Would be nice to have for the Japanese army though.

That is just a what if. If only they had built it. Would it have made a difference.

Elf,

I will get the list of aircraft to you Saturday.

Subchaser,

I am not at all trying to be rude (especially to you guys!) but, i feel we need to get going with this project and not just talk forever.
I have given people time to come up with ideas for aircraft changes, now it is time to implement.

Sub, if you have any last minute stuff mail me at lysimachus@charter.net.

One of my only big inputs would be the addition of the the Shiden with an earlier arrival time. The date of arrival in game of the Shiden-KAI as it stands now is incorrect.

If there isn't enough room to have the Shiden and the Shide-KAI then it is my opinion that the Shiden-KAI's arrival should reflect the arrival of the Shiden in 43'. I've always felt that this situation was unfair for the Japanese player.

I have removed the Ki54 as it was not really a standard transport aircraft. I was tempted to add Takeo Doi's push-pull fighter, but it was available for full production in Dec '43 and i just felt it would invalidate the rest of the Japanese aircraft.
Too big of an advantage.

I did not add any of the high altitude interceptors as altitude does not matter in mnvr calcs in this game.

F7F Tigercats flew off the Midways, correct. Why not CV capable? Lack of enough slots or to keep Allied player honest and not base them on smaller CVs?

Perhaps- but right now the Midways are not in the game! And I do believe we have allocated all the carrier capable slots.

Hi,

VMF(N)-534 in F7F-3's completed field carrier landing practice in Jan 1946 in preperation for qualification landings aboard USS Shangri-La in Feb 1946 during this period one a/c had a starboard wing failure on touchdown. Operations were suspended and all a/c were inspected and revealed evidence of structural damage to engine mounts, wing spars and landing gear. F7F's upto F7F-3N were prohibited from arrested landings , F7f-4N's were strengthened in light of these findings.

Thats what really amused me about some aircraft people asked for.

Like the Bearcat... um, this was not the 1947 racer this version has a top speed of 423. Better than a Hellcat but not a Mustang or a Corsair.

I did give the Bearcat very high mnvr though as the cat line was one of the few actual fighters built by the Americans during the war.
Mustangs and to an extant Lightnings, escort fighters.
Thunderbolts, better escort and ground attack than pure fighter.

I would lean towards another B-25J with the solid nose and strafer pack as around 800ish were built and more field modified. That way two types of squadrons could be fielded.

No P80s. I have no way to represent their massive teething problems and that their operational loss rate was 4.1:1 over P47s.

Yes the Russians & Chinese are still there.

Someone needs to tell me 5 or squadrons that used the B25G/H/solid J.
That way i can split upgrade paths.
I need this fairly quickly.
