Yup, and you're in at the beginning when none of it exists. [:D]

I was in the same boat with WitP but I was in the middle of a deployment and didn't have access to this webpage, so I did my bit by myself while all the other crazies did it together by arguing, much like we are now, I suspect. [:D]

I haven't even tried that program scout. I haven't had much free time so I spend it all on AE. [8|] Tough decision to make.

Have you noticed that I still haven't played a turn? I ran the historical 7 Dec turn once to see what the resources look like. There's a surplus of merchant points. We can acclerate some merchant shipping. [:D] There is a shortage of naval points unfortunately. [:(]

Time for a quick bump as the beta patch is out and I need to figure out the real "nuts and bolts" of playing Japan.

Totally missed this thread. Massive thanks for the data already inputted Mike Solli. Think that will save me an awful lot of typing. I'll just ust need to add fuel consumption to it and that is absolutely what I need. Very much appreciate you sharing your hard work. [&o]

Now that we can actually DO Ak-t conversions, need to re-visit how many are needed. Methinks alot. You can get by without it certainly, but not an optimal use of transport space; I find myself constantly carrying more supply than I really wanted or needed.

I'd propose the following:
We need to find out how many AKs we need to transport the Mainland Asia ressources to Japan - the around 100.000 tons a day - and simply convert most of the rest. It neither takes much time nore does it take big ports. So it can easily be done "on demand", no?

That's one part, though you need Pure Aks to haul supplies as well, and I suspect we'll be using them to haul fuel as well, given the shortage of Tanker capacity.

On the bright side, you're right, AK-t conversions and back are pretty quick and simple. It must not have been pleasant to be a Japanese infantryman on one of those converted AKs!

I assume you are talking about xAK's and xAK-t's. Japan doesn't need a whole lot of military AKs.

I have looked at the various ship classes and don't see any "AK-t". I assume you mean converting an AK to give it a TK capacity. Am I correct ?

No, it is a temporary conversion that allows some of the Cargo capacity to be used as Troop capacity. It is done in a size 6 port or larger. It may require at least 5 days to take place (the larger the port size the less time it takes).

Edit - I would open and copy the spreadsheet from the second post on this thread and use that as a guide. I went through this whole thread last night and "copy & paste" a lot of useful information to help me from following off the learning curve cliff. [;)]
