Malaya:
The minefield at Singapore is finally cleared !!! Now I can move in supplies. And start the oil/fuel moving from Palembang.
Philippines:
My light bombers are keeping the airfield at Bataan damaged so I'm moving in the rest of the troops there and will attempt an attack and see how that goes. It should tell me how many men I need to bring in from Singapore.
Celebes:
Kendari falls to my assault - the battalion surrendering and the base force fleeing westward.
SRA:
Troops wade ashore at Babo to capture the oil fields. Base should fall tomorrow.

Sumatra:
Langsa is captured and the troops ordered to march to Sabang.
Java:
My attack at Merak is thwarted but mostly because my unit has no supplies. I have DMS enroute to clear the mines so I can resupply and bring more troops over.
Borneo:
B-17s return during the night targeting Samarinda. With no real CAP the bombers have no trouble hitting the oil damaging total of 3 oil.
SRA:
Babo falls to my troops and the oil fields are captured intact.
Central Pacific:
A CL led TF was sent to bombard Wake to judge what size enemy unit was there. They ran into an xAK at the island and sunk it before continuing on to bombard the island. It appears just the normal Wake Defense Battalion is present. Troops are loading at Truk to take the island.

Java:
My DMS at Merak clears some mines but the field is still there. Three more DMS should arrive this next turn.
Borneo:
B-17s come to Samarinda again and bomb freely. Luckily their aim is off and they only damage 1 oil.
China:
Bombers hit enemy troops at Wuchow softening them up for the attack. The attack at Wuchow fails but achieves 4:1 odds -- needed 5:1... Forts were lowered to 2 and another attack is planned.

Java:
We sweep 15 mines at Merak.
Borneo:
B-17s return again at night and this time my fighters intercept them... or at least attempt to. No aircraft are damaged on either side, but the bombing run misses.
Celebes:
My troops capture Pare Pare without a fight.
China:
My bombers are intercepted at Wuchow by the AVG... Of course the first bombing run doesn't get any fighter support and several naval bombers are shot down. But finally the fighters show up and escort the rest of the bombers to their targets.
My follow up Shock attack at Wuchow routs the defenders and captures the base fully intact.
South Pacific:
A British led bombardment TF (4 BBs & 4 CLs) hits Port Moresby but other than wounding some troops it does not hurt the base at all.

The B-17s come back to Palembang... and right into my Oscars still on night CAP. No aircraft is reported damaged, but no oil is damaged as well. I think Nomad is just looking for undefended oil to hit. Once I scare his B-17s out of Soerabaja I can being moving fighters from these bases as he won't have the range to hit them from northern Australia.
Java:
My DMSs clear the last 80 mines from Merak opening the door to Java. Barges are loading up with supplies to take to Merak so the combat unit already there can capture the base. Once we have Merak, we can begin ferrying troops cross in earnest.
Borneo:
Balikpapan has reached the max fuel it can store without spoilage (its actually over a bit) so I turned off the refineries a few turns back. This will allow the oil to accumulate and not go to waste while I expand the facilities here to accommodate more storage.
Philippines:
Bombers keep hitting the airfield there to prevent fort building as the last of the local troops arrive. The bombers have been ordered to hit enemy troops instead of the airfield tomorrow to support the ground assault. This will give us an idea of how many troops we need from Singapore.

Sorry for the delay in updates, did a turn last night and then rushed off to the theater with the wife. Then did another one when we got home and then went to bed. So I just did a third and sent it back to Nomad and will be updating for all three days now...
Oh yeah.... this turn was horrible.
Sub Warfare:
On its way back from supporting the Kendari invasion, Car Div 3 ran into an enemy sub near Djailolo. Unfortunately this sub got in close and hit CVL Zuiho with two torpedoes out of the four it launched - and of course they both worked
Not only that, but they scored a nice little Ammo Storage Explosion as well. After this I was hoping not to sink instantly and maybe make it to a port.
But then a few moments later the same sub got off 4 more torpedoes and two more hit the Zuiho - and of course they worked. CVL Zuiho went down with all planes aboard
Luckily I only lost a handful of pilots, but it was a nice little point score for Nomad - 250 points in all.
Luzon:
My bombers attacked enemy troops at Bataan in support of the planned attack. My attack went off as planned, and as expected it failed. We did lower the forts to 4 but got mauled in the combat. We lost 4300 casualties against the 800 inflicted on the defenders. Looks like we're gonna need 2 divisions or so from the troops at Singapore to take Bataan. Unless I just let it sit another month and starve.
Borneo:
B-17s bombed the oil at night but failed to score any hits thanks to the distraction of my Oscars.

SRA:

Java:
With the mines gone I transported a bunch of supplies to Merak and ordered the fragment there to attack against the base force holding the port. I also moved some warships to Merak to protect my landing, and a few other small ships to aid in the ferrying of troops from Oosthaven.
My attack at Merak was successful and captured the base while the devastated base force retreated to Batavia.
Central Pacific:
My troops arrived at Wake and landed under fire. Cruisers and DDs lent fire support to the landing mauling the American defenders. Being an Atoll, the combat was resolved quickly with my SNLF unit overpowering the defenders and capturing the base.

A very slow turn - and I mean very slow.
The only combat action was an American sub attacking one of my DDs at Wake and missing. The DDs pounced on the sub and managed a few close hits damaging the sub.
Java/Sumatra:
With Merak captured and ships at Oosthaven I am now beginning to ferry troops across for the liberation of Java. One Amphib TF and several Fast Transport TFs are loading men and supplies.

Java:
With troops coming ashore at Merak, my troops landed at Buitenzorg last turn and capture the base this turn. More troops are coming here from Merak. A plan is made to land troops at Kalidjati. A small enemy unit is reported to be there, but I think its just a base force so we will land and see if we can take it. Doing so will cut off the 14 enemy units currently in Batavia.
Luzon:
Bombers continue to hit the airfields at Bataan - they are up to 50% damage now.
Philippine Islands:
Troops bought out of Manchukuo come ashore at Guiuan. Figure we will capture these two undefended bases on Samar before heading to its future home at Cebu.
Celebes:
IJN Troops shock attack the Kendari base force west of Kendari wiping it out. Now the troops will march to Kolaka and secure the resources there.
Central Pacific:
With Wake in my hands I am reloading the SNLF unit there to use elsewhere and USN subs keep attacking. This time the SS Grayling was spotted cruising in the shallow waters and DD Ushio pounced on her. Not many hits, but a hit to the fuel tanks and one to bow damaging the forward firing torpedo tubes should be sending that sub back to Pearl for repairs.
I am liking the Akitsuki class DDs as they have the type 2 depth charge - and you can actually hurt subs with those in any depth water. This is the second sub I've damaged at Wake and sent back for repairs.

More troops pour into Java at Merak and Kalidjati. My destroyer support at Kalidjati does a good job of disabling enemy squads which enabled my beat up units to capture the base. We get 6:1 odds against the level 3 forts. At least this time when the B-17s came and bombed my men at Kalidjati they took some damage.

Sub Warfare:
Another Dutch sub finds a target and cripples an xAK carrying troops near Talaud-einlanden (south of Davao). I have dispatched the ship to Talaud (1 hex away) and hope it makes it there to unload troops before sinking.
Luzon:
Still bombing the airfield at Bataan. Its at 97% damage - once it hits 100% I will switch to enemy ground units for a few days and then back to the airfield.
China:
Bombing enemy units at Wenchow is proving fairly pointless. I rarely do any damage to them, but hopefully I inflict some disruption or fatigue at least. My attack at Wenchow only achieves 1:2 odds against level 2 forts, but we are finally inflicting more losses than we are taking.
SRA:
Troops unload at Dili as I start to push further south now.
Well if I understand the rules correctly today was the last day for my +1200 amphib unload bonus. I am so glad I converted all those xAKLs to LSDs. They will prove very valuable as the war goes on with their larger carrying capacity and faster unload speeds.
