Just thought I'd drop by and say "Hi" since everyone else has been through here. BTW , I'm learning to hate "PC" too. If the damned thing crashes one more time , I'm gonna get a Mac!
I'm offended by the word "Yank". Despite being born and raise in New England. You know why? Cause the word "Yank" is a shortened form of "Yankee". Which is a native American (formerly know as "Indian") way of trying to say "English" in French. So do we go to war with the British over that (naw, whipped them twice, that's enough). Or the Indians? Naw, we confused them and whipped them enough. We said they were Indians and they said we were British. The point I'm trying to make here? Damned if I know! Oh , that's right...the point is that this screed doesn't have a point. Any more than this thread does. So there! If I've offended any one, sorry , but feel free to offend right back! Now get off the lawn you PC punk kids! Just wait till.....
Never mind......[:D]

People who use terms you don't agree to are no fashists per se. You should know better than that.
No, people who don't use terms I do use and insist on forcing their values on me are the PC-Fascists.

There is one school of thought that likes to be cute and use the most syllables possible to describe someone or something. That sort of PC is kind of ridiculous IMO.
And I, for one, applaud Terminus and his efforts to crush sesquipedalianism in this forum.sesquipedalianism
OK, I admit it, I had to look it up : " The practice of using long, sometimes obscure, words in speech or writing. "
And the irony is hopefully not lost on anybody.

The solution to all of the PC garbage is for all of us to take ourselves just a little less seriously.
But man, there's a crisis on! Think about it - we're all clinging to a rock hurtling through space at more than 17,000 miles per hour! [X(]

Ok, here it is for all of you who didn't know : –noun " the estimation of something as valueless (encountered mainly as an example of one of the longest words in the English language). "
