I must admit I had a little heart attack when this one popped up! You never know what a lucky shot could inflict on one of your precious ships! When I was thinking about pursuing the fleeing cruisers I was not thinking about something like this:

My surface TF also ended up in the same hex as an enemy cruiser in the afternoon but the cruiser was sunk by bombers before the surface combat went off...

The Boise is sunk without doing any damage! She never shot with her main guns... [&o] Helpless´ completely scattered his TF knowing how bad the game handles attacks on single ship TFs normally concentrating on one TF. A little bit gamey IMO but we don´t have a HR on that and if needed I will use it too. In this case the game handled the attacks very well! [&o]

it seems my constant air attacks have paid off. Helpless retreats all his troops to Manila. We will shift our airattacks on Manila out of the big airfield of Clark in a few days. The ground troops are ordered to march on Manila! When I will be able to defeat the US troops there, will they be able to retreat to Bataan when I hold Clark?????

A big ship concentration was spotted at Norfolk Island, North of New Zealand. The surface TF will sprint in as well as the CVs (which are low on fuel...).
